Today we’d like to introduce you to Blaga Milosheva.
Hi Blaga , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Our Story | Dreamwork Renovations
Dreamwork Renovations started when my husband and I moved to Texas in 2024 and decided to build something of our own.
I’m originally from Bulgaria, and life has taken me from the UK to China to Silicon Valley – and now to The Woodlands. When I first visited, I immediately connected with the community and the strong family values here. It felt like the right place to plant roots.
My husband, Sukh, moved from London after we spent six years in a long-distance relationship. When we arrived, we didn’t know anyone locally. His family is in India and Canada, and mine is in Bulgaria and the UK, so this truly was a fresh start for us – personally and professionally.
Sukh has spent over 23 years in home repair and remodeling in London. He’s a craftsman through and through – precise, detail-oriented, and committed to doing things properly. No shortcuts, no rushed finishes – just solid work done right.
My background is in business development for tech and real estate companies, and I run the operations side of Dreamwork Renovations. I handle communication, scheduling, client experience, and strategy. We combine European standards of craftsmanship with clear, consistent communication and transparency – exactly what homeowners deserve.
For us, this business isn’t just about renovations. It’s about building a reputation rooted in trust, integrity, and quality – and becoming part of the community we now call home.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road.
When we moved here, we didn’t know a single person. No family nearby, no existing network, no built-in client base. We were starting from zero zero – new state, new business, new relationships. Building trust in a new community takes time, especially in an industry where homeowners are inviting you into their personal space.
One of the biggest challenges was building relationships from the ground up. We knew that if we wanted long-term success, we couldn’t just focus on transactions – we had to genuinely serve people and become part of the community. That meant showing up, being consistent, doing excellent work, and letting our reputation grow organically.
Thankfully, our business has grown primarily through referrals and positive client reviews. Each project led to another, and each happy client introduced us to someone else. Those genuine connections have been the foundation of our growth.
On a personal level, I’ve found an incredible community of women business owners through The Woodlands Women’s Business Collective, and I’m honored to serve as a board member. We don’t just exchange business cards – we support each other, mastermind regularly, and share both the wins and the struggles. It’s not just about growing our businesses, but about elevating each other as leaders and individuals. That support system has made a huge difference in what could have otherwise felt like a very lonely journey.
So no, it hasn’t always been smooth – but every challenge has strengthened both our business and our sense of belonging here.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about DreamWork Renovations?
Dreamwork Renovations is redefining what homeowners should expect from a contractor.
We combine European-level craftsmanship with professionalism, communication, and integrity that’s often missing in the industry. With over 23 years of hands-on remodeling experience, my husband delivers meticulous, detail-driven work – and I ensure every project runs with structure, clarity, and responsiveness from start to finish.
We specialize in interior renovations and high-quality home repairs – the kind of work where precision matters and shortcuts are not an option.
What we’re most proud of is this: our growth has come almost entirely from referrals and five-star reviews. That tells us we’re not just completing projects – we’re earning trust.
Dreamwork Renovations isn’t just about making homes look better. It’s about raising the standard, building lasting relationships, and becoming the company people confidently recommend without hesitation.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
We believe growth and risk go hand in hand. You can’t build a better life while staying in the same comfort zone.
Moving to Texas was a major risk for us. We left behind familiarity, professional networks, and stability to start over in a place where we didn’t know anyone. On top of that, we chose to build our own business instead of taking secure, predictable jobs. It wasn’t the easy option – but it was the one that aligned with who we are.
For us, risk isn’t about being reckless. It’s about being careful and courageous at the same time. We didn’t jump blindly. We relied on experience, discipline, and a clear long-term vision. But we were willing to be uncomfortable. We were willing to build from zero, earn trust one client at a time, and prove ourselves through our work.
We see risk as betting on our own ability to adapt, work hard, and deliver excellence – even when the outcome isn’t guaranteed. Because in the end, the biggest risk isn’t failing. It’s never finding out what you were capable of building.
