Hi Kayla, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Growing up I would always massage my mom, grandma, and a couple of my aunts, massage was something that just came very natural to me and I love the feeling of healing I give when I massage someone that’s in pain. I just didn’t think massage therapy was a career. When I fully decided to pursue that, I went to the Texas school of massage in Houston and it was the best decision of my life. I was made for this, I grew very fast due to my good social media following, but mostly through word of mouth. I take pride in the fact that I know what I’m doing, and I’m very good at what I do. I’m moving forward into my teacher era in 2026, stay tuned on what’s to come of that!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing worth anything is easy. Everything that is meant to be will absolutely be, if you put the work in. It was not easy, it was hard, stressful, and even scary at times but this is my dream. If your dreams don’t scare you they aren’t big enough. I put my heart, tears, blood and sweat into this business and I’d do it again because it turned out pretty amazing.

Here at Ivy + Sage we specialize in healing of the body and mind. Taking pain away from other people. That makes me the happiest. I love knowing I have the power to truly help someone that is in pain. Regardless if it’s sciatic, neck, back, Tmj, or plantar fasciitis pain I love that I can take majority of that away from them through the healing of massage.
