Haylee, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey into wedding planning didn’t begin with a business plan — it began with a deep love for celebrating people and creating meaningful moments.
I’ve always been drawn to beauty, organization, and the feeling that comes from bringing something special to life. What started as helping friends and family plan events quickly grew into a passion I couldn’t ignore. I realized I wasn’t just good at coordinating details — I loved creating experiences that felt personal, intentional, and unforgettable.
That passion led me to officially launch Wild Rose Events & Co., where we specialize in wedding planning, coordination, design, and décor. Over time, what began as a small venture has grown into a trusted brand serving couples across College Station, Houston, Austin, the Hill Country, and beyond.
Today, I have the honor of walking alongside couples during one of the most meaningful seasons of their lives — helping turn their vision into a celebration that feels effortless, beautiful, and deeply personal. From intimate gatherings to full-scale wedding weekends, my heart is in every detail.
At Wild Rose, our motto is “Live Your Best Moment,” and that truly guides everything we do. Weddings are more than events — they’re once-in-a-lifetime memories — and I’m grateful every day that this is the work I get to do.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Like most entrepreneurial journeys, it definitely hasn’t been a perfectly smooth road — but every challenge has helped shape the business and the planner I am today.
In the beginning, I was building something from the ground up while learning the realities of running a business — managing finances, establishing systems, building vendor relationships, and earning trust in a highly competitive industry. There were long days, late nights, and plenty of moments of self-doubt.
As the business grew, I faced new challenges: navigating demanding timelines, managing high expectations, and learning how to balance motherhood, marriage, and entrepreneurship. Weddings are deeply emotional, high-stakes events, and carrying that responsibility requires both heart and resilience.
I’ve also learned that not every situation goes perfectly — unexpected weather, last-minute changes, or complex client dynamics are all part of the industry. Those experiences taught me adaptability, grace under pressure, and the importance of clear communication and strong systems.
Looking back, the obstacles were never roadblocks — they were stepping stones. Each challenge strengthened my confidence, refined my processes, and reinforced my commitment to serving my couples with excellence and care.

From full-service planning to wedding day management and curated décor rentals, we guide our couples through every step of the process to ensure their celebration feels seamless, elevated, and uniquely theirs.

How do you define success?
For me, success is measured far beyond aesthetics or perfectly styled details. Success is when a couple feels fully present on their wedding day — when they are relaxed, joyful, and able to soak in each moment without stress or distraction.
It’s seeing a bride take a deep breath before walking down the aisle, knowing everything is handled. It’s watching families connect, laughter fill the room, and moments unfold exactly as they should.
Success also means building a business rooted in integrity, trust, and genuine relationships — with my couples, vendor partners, and community. When clients feel supported and cared for throughout the process, and when vendors know they can rely on me to create a seamless experience, that is incredibly fulfilling.
On a personal level, success is creating a life that allows me to serve others while still being present for my family. Balancing motherhood, marriage, and entrepreneurship has taught me that true success is alignment — doing meaningful work while honoring the people and moments that matter most.
At the end of the day, if my couples feel celebrated, supported, and able to truly live their best moment, I consider that the greatest success of all.
