“I came to the United States from Spain with a dream: to build a better future for my son. I arrived in a new country where I barely spoke the language, with only a few dollars in my pocket and a heart full of determination. The beginning was not easy. I shared a small room with a friend who eventually became like a sister, worked multiple jobs—sometimes up to five at the same time—and studied while navigating the loneliness and challenges of starting over. Every sacrifice, every long day, and every tear was driven by the hope of creating a better life.
While working and studying, I pursued my passion for beauty and earned my license as an esthetician. My journey led me to work in the aesthetics department of a prestigious plastic surgeon, where I developed my skills and deepened my love for helping people feel confident in their own skin. Later, I joined Benefit Cosmetics as a Brow Arch Expert, where I spent more than five years perfecting my craft and building meaningful relationships with my clients.
Life changed profoundly after the loss of my younger brother. His passing made me reflect deeply on life, purpose, and happiness. In his honor, I decided to follow my heart and create something meaningful—Luminous Beauty Bar. The name “Luminous” represents the light that shines even in the darkest moments, a reminder of my brother and the inspiration he continues to be in my life.
Today, Luminous Beauty Bar is more than a beauty studio. It is a place where art, passion, and connection come together. Specializing in brows, lashes, waxing, and makeup, my mission is to help every person who walks through the door feel confident, beautiful, and empowered. I believe in turning clients into friends and friends into family, and in sharing my passion and artistry with every person who trusts me.”

As a business owner, I also appreciate how supportive people can be of small businesses. I’ve been able to build meaningful relationships with my clients, many of whom have become like family, and that sense of connection is something I truly value.
What I Like Least About the City
Like any growing city, life here can sometimes feel very fast-paced and busy. It can be challenging for small business owners to balance everything and stand out in such a competitive environment. However, I also see that challenge as motivation to keep improving, growing, and providing the best experience possible for my clients.
