Today we’d like to introduce you to Dominique Valadez.
Hi Dominique, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started my journey as a stay at home mom looking for a way to help my family financially while still being able to stay home and care for my son. That’s when I met a brow artist who offered classes, and I decided to give it a try. At the time, it was only meant to be temporary, just something I could do until my son started school, and then I planned to find a traditional 9–5 job.
But God had other plans for me.
What began as a way to contribute financially slowly turned into something I truly loved. I discovered a passion for helping others feel confident and bringing out their natural beauty. That passion eventually led me to become the owner of Space City Brow Babe.
I started home based as a certified brow artist in 2023 and now in 2026, as a licensed esthetician, i’m in a suite located inside Glam Tech Studios.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth journey. One of the biggest struggles has been balancing motherhood with building a business. As a mom, there are times when mom guilt sets in. But the support system I have, my family and my fiancé, have been my rock throughout this journey. I honestly don’t know if I would be where I am today without them.
Starting a business also comes with self-doubt. I often catch myself asking, “Is this really going to work?” But I’ve learned that having faith is the first step, and the second is reminding yourself why you started and who you’re doing it for.

At Space City Brow Babe, I specialize in brows. I offer brow lamination, brow tint, and henna brows, all brow services include mapping and waxing. I also offer lash lifts and facials.
What sets me apart from others, I focus on care, precision, and results that leave you feeling confident. Every client gets brows designed specifically for their face shape and style, because I believe every person deserves a look that feels uniquely theirs.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
I’ve learned that growth takes patience and consistency. Every appointment, every client interaction, and every small improvement adds up. Success doesn’t happen overnight, it comes from dedication, care, and staying true to your vision.
