Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Hyare.
Hi Jasmine, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started baking as early as third grade. One of my very first baking memories was making oatmeal chocolate chip cookies from the back of a Quaker Oats box and accidentally mixing up the flour and baking soda measurements. I added two cups of baking soda instead of flour. They definitely didn’t look great coming out of the oven, but somehow they still tasted good — and I was hooked from there.
I kept cooking and baking throughout school, but things became more personal in high school when my dad was diagnosed with pre-diabetes. He has always loved desserts, so I started experimenting with sugar alternatives and healthier ingredients to recreate some of his favorite treats in a way that still felt enjoyable while being more mindful of blood sugar and insulin levels.
In college, I studied biology and chemistry, and I think my love for science naturally blended with my love for cooking. That curiosity around ingredients, nutrition, and how recipes work eventually led me here.
After college, I went through an almost 100-pound weight loss journey that completely changed the way I viewed food and nutrition. During that time, I learned so much about calories, ingredients, portion balance, and what it truly meant to eat in a calorie deficit while still enjoying the foods I loved. It taught me firsthand that healthy eating doesn’t have to feel restrictive — food can be both nourishing and satisfying at the same time.
Once I became a mom, I became even more intentional about the foods I was serving my family. I wanted to create meals and desserts that felt wholesome and nourishing, but were still delicious and comforting enough for everyone to genuinely enjoy. That balance — healthier food that actually tastes good — is what continues to inspire my recipes today.
I just love food, I love experimenting with food and creating recipes. Recipe testing days are my absolute favorite part of my job. I wake up in the best mood and so excited on recipe testing days
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Since officially starting it has been fairly smooth. But I had two kids back to back and it was hard to be home with them while trying to launch this career. I knew that I wanted to make recipes for the world but I wasn’t exactly sure how I was going to do that. Then once my kids started school full time o jumped into this page head first
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a recipe and content creator focused on healthier, high-protein recipes that are simple, approachable, and family-friendly. I specialize in creating better-for-you versions of comfort foods, baked goods, desserts, and easy meals using more wholesome ingredients while still making sure they taste genuinely delicious. Many of my recipes also include gluten-free options and higher protein or higher fiber ingredients to help balanced eating feel realistic and enjoyable.
I’m especially known for taking trending or everyday recipes and giving them a healthier twist without overcomplicating them. My audience loves that my recipes feel attainable, use familiar ingredients, and don’t sacrifice flavor or texture just to make something “healthy.”
What I’m most proud of is building a community around the idea that healthy food can still feel comforting, exciting, and satisfying. I love helping people discover simple swaps and recipes that make them feel good while still enjoying the foods they crave.
What sets me apart is my combination of a science background, creativity, and a very practical approach to cooking. I focus heavily on recipe testing and ingredient balance so my recipes not only look good on social media, but actually work well and fit into everyday life
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I think I’m somewhat of a perfectionist. I refuse to put a recipe up unless it’s perfect. I always think about the fact that there could be somebody out there who makes just one of my recipes and if it happens to be the one that I didn’t feel was perfect then they may never make another recipe of mine again and that really keeps me from posting something that I feel like isn’t my absolute best work.
