Today we’d like to introduce you to Mia Scott.
Hi Mia, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I was raised in Dallas and attended Texas A&M University WHOOP! After graduating with a degree in Business Administration, I knew that one day I wanted to start a business of my own.
I grew up in a very entrepreneurial household, and I truly learned the value of hard work from my dad. That foundation shaped so much of who I am and gave me the confidence to chase something bigger.
One of the biggest things that inspired me to start Let’s Celebrate Events was my faith. I prayed that the Lord would show me an opportunity where I could continue to serve others, and I truly feel like I fell right into the wedding industry at the perfect time.
I started Let’s Celebrate Events with the hope that couples could fully celebrate their wedding day without carrying the stress of every little detail. My heart behind this business has always been to serve couples well, create a smooth and joyful experience, and allow them to be fully present for one of the most meaningful days of their lives.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Truly, the obstacle started with the idea of starting a business in the first place. I was terrified it wouldn’t work, especially because there are already so many incredible wedding planners in Houston.
I had a lot of fear in the beginning. I worried that I wouldn’t make money, that it wouldn’t take off, or that I wouldn’t be able to build something successful. But I continued to pray and trust in the Lord, knowing He would carry me through and open the right doors.
Starting Let’s Celebrate Events required endless hours, sacrifice, and a lot of faith. I answered the phone at all hours of the day, worked late nights, and poured everything I had into serving my couples well, because that is what you do as a business owner. You show up, you work hard, and you keep going even when it feels scary.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Let’s Celebrate Events Co. was created with one goal in mind: to bring the joy and celebration back to weddings. Every part of our business is built on serving others well, creating a seamless experience so our couples can be fully present and truly enjoy their day.
Since opening, we’ve had the honor of celebrating over 100 sweet couples, traveling all across Texas and even celebrating with couples as far as Florida. Each wedding is special to us, but one that stands out was at River Oaks Country Club, such a sweet couple and a day where every detail came together beautifully.
We offer a range of services tailored to each couple’s needs, from wedding day coordination to full-service planning. No matter the package, our focus remains the same: intentional details, a smooth experience, and a wedding day that feels effortless and full of joy.
How do you think about happiness?
My word of the year for 2026 was joy, and I truly believe wedding days are one of the sweetest reflections of that.
Some of our couples work with us for a year or even two before their wedding day, so when the day finally arrives and we get to see every detail come together, there is truly nothing better. It is such a special feeling to watch months of planning turn into a day filled with love, celebration, and happiness.
At almost every wedding, I still shed a few happy tears and look at my sweet team and say, “We did it.” Because once again, we had the honor of witnessing another couple step into marriage and celebrate one of the happiest days of their lives.
