Rising Stars: Meet Brittany Kluss-Puente of Houston

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Kluss-Puente.

Hi Brittany, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
my name is brittany kluss and i am a hairstylist based in katy texas

i got into hair early and it stuck with me i loved the creative side but also the connection with people over time i developed my own approach focused on lived in wearable hair that actually fits into real life

after years in traditional salon settings i felt pulled to do things differently so i created my own space where i could be more intentional about the experience the products i use and how i work with clients

now everything i do is centered around transparency low tox options and creating hair that grows out well and works long term it feels more aligned than ever

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
definitely going solo and opening my own suite. it’s one of those “this could either be amazing or what the hell did i just do” moments. but once i took the leap, there was no looking back. it forced me to trust myself, build my own thing, and honestly—it was the best decision i could’ve made.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
i specialize in layered cuts of all lengths, vivid color, blonding, and lived in hair that actually fits into real life not just how it looks the day you leave

what i am most proud of is the experience i have created for my clients everything is built around transparency low tox products and a calm one on one environment where people can feel comfortable without pressure or confusion

what sets me apart is how i approach hair long term i am not just focused on the end result i am thinking about grow out maintenance and what is realistic for each person i am big on honesty and education so my clients leave understanding their hair not just styling it

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
more personalization more transparency and more independence

clients care about low tox products honest pricing and overall experience and stylists are creating spaces that reflect that

hair is moving toward low maintenance lived in looks with a focus on longevity and health
