Djdrummerboi is a versatile multi-instrumentalist, producer, music engineer and DJ whose career is rooted in the rich musical traditions of the church and the vibrant energy of the Houston music scene. Beginning his journey as a prodigy drummer at age three, he quickly transitioned from the church pews to the stage, becoming the first sixth-grader to join the Pin Oak Middle School stage band and eventually expanding his repertoire to include piano and bass.
Production & Career Evolution:
Driven by a passion for creation, he transitioned into music production during high school, evolving from early experiments on Audacity , Fl Studio to mastering Logic Pro X. His technical proficiency and distinct sound earned him early—though sometimes challenging—lessons in the industry, including collaborations that reached major entities like Universal Studios.
A pivotal moment in his career arrived through his collaboration with Yung Josh 93, producing tracks for Don Toliver that gained significant regional traction. This success served as the catalyst for founding his own production label, True HITTAZ Production (THP), alongside his longtime collaborator, Ayo Trill.
– Artist Development & The “NuBreed” Era:
His career reached a new trajectory upon joining NuBreedG Ent, where he formed a close partnership with artist Tazdarealist. Together, they recorded and performed across Houston, with his debut performance of the single “Fake Love” solidifying his reputation as a high-energy performer. During this era, he earned the name “Yung Dawg” for his tenacity and musical maturity.
-DJing & Live Performance:
Affectionately known as Djdrummerboi, he seamlessly integrates his background as a percussionist into his live DJ sets. Mentored by DjKsmooth and YamsGtheDj , he became a staple in the Houston nightlife circuit, holding residencies and performing at premier venues, including:
– Lux Tavern
– The Address
– Rise Rooftop (Warehouse Live Midtown)
– Ciao
– Domain
– Frisky Whiskey ( Old Phil & Derek’s)
– Dreams Bar and Lounge
– Arabian Knights
– Madhouse Restaurant and Bar Lounge (Current Residency: Thursday–Sunday)
-Collaboration & Legacy:
Throughout his journey, Djdrummerboi has collaborated with notable figures such as Kristen Cherei, Kokain Karter, MrWiredUp, YamsGtheDj (979 The Box) McBabyj and GodjHi-C. He has also been a key member of the Paint The City & Teddi Tuesdays team, working alongside mentors and peers like TheMaddrummer, YamsGtheDj, DjTeddi and the late DjSilvah.
Today, under the mentorship of Dj Ali, Mc Wayne and the Sonic Boom collective, Djdrummerboi continues to captivate audiences worldwide. He remains dedicated to the craft of “getting the people to vibe,” blending technical skill with an innate ability to lead a crowd, ensuring his place as a powerhouse in the modern music and entertainment industry.

Never has been a smooth road! Life always comes with challenges! But I had to fight thru it ! Keep going on to different levels that I’m currently still rising up towards today !

My plans for the future is to keep going through times I wanted to give up on ! My label is growing and list of venues that will see the experience and expansions that Djdrummerboi bringing to the table ! The World is never to short for one man
