Today we’d like to introduce you to Reagan Eaton.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’ve been a plus-size woman my whole life, and for as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to see someone like me walk a runway — confidently, unapologetically, in a full-figure body. As I got older, something unexpected happened: people started looking to me for confidence. You’d think it would be the opposite because of my size, but I’ve always carried a strong sense of confidence in myself and my body.
In 2016, I took my first real step into modeling by freelancing — reaching out to photographers, building my portfolio, and slowly creating my own lane in an industry that doesn’t always make space for bodies like mine. It wasn’t handed to me, I built it.
Then in 2025, everything shifted — I landed my first runway gig. A moment that felt full circle, like I was finally stepping into the vision I had for myself all those years.
That same year, I made the decision to go all in. 2025 became the year I committed to modeling full time — not just as a passion, but as my purpose. And I’m only getting started.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely wasn’t a smooth journey. My first runway show actually humbled me in a way I’ll never forget. The designer had chosen me — a plus-size model — but didn’t have any plus-size pieces available for me to try on during rehearsal. I was the only full-figure model in the show, and the only one who didn’t get to practice that day.
Then came show day. The designer did end up providing an outfit, but I had to walk without the same preparation as everyone else. And honestly, that moment wasn’t just a one-time thing — it’s something I’ve experienced more than once as a plus-size model.
Moments like that could easily shake your confidence, but for me, they did the opposite. They reminded me why I started. I’m not just walking for me — I’m walking for representation, for the girls who deserve to see bodies like theirs on every runway, fully included and fully prepared. And every setback just made me step harder into that purpose.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I bring confidence, resilience, and real-life representation to every runway and every shoot. My journey hasn’t been the easiest, but that’s exactly why I stand out — because I’m not just chasing this dream, I’m determined to make room for myself in it
I’ve built my experience across a wide range of modeling, from bridal gowns and bridesmaid dresses to lingerie, jewelry, and accessories like purses, including work with Juicy Couture. I’ve also modeled for a new event location, bringing different brands and visions to life through my presence.
What does success mean to you?
It’s walking into spaces where plus-size women aren’t always expected and leaving my mark anyway. It’s being able to look back and say I didn’t shrink myself — physically or mentally — to fit an industry standard, but instead showed up fully as I am.
Success is growth. It’s every runway I step on, every brand that trusts me to represent them, and every person who sees themselves in me and feels a little more confident because of it.
Most of all, success is not giving up on myself. It’s choosing, over and over again, to keep going, keep building, and keep proving that my size was never something to overcome — it’s part of what makes me powerful.
