Deidre, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey didn’t begin in travel. It began in real life—raising a family, building a career, and navigating the complexities of relationships. For over 20 years, I worked in civil litigation and employment law as a paralegal, a role that sharpened my attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage high-stakes situations with precision.
But alongside that career, I carried a deep love for travel—especially the kind that allows people to slow down, reconnect, and experience each other beyond the routines of everyday life.
In 2000, I founded Passionate Vacations, but like many entrepreneurs, the path wasn’t linear. Life, responsibilities, and reinvention shaped the journey. What started as a general travel business evolved into something much more intentional.
Today, I specialize in designing travel experiences for couples who want more than just a getaway. I focus on creating space for connection—experiences that help couples relax, communicate, and rediscover each other. This philosophy is rooted in my belief that love requires intention, and sometimes the right environment can help couples remember what brought them together in the first place.
That belief also led me to create Love in Motion, a storytelling and interview series that highlights real couples, real challenges, and real growth. It’s an extension of my mission—to show that relationships don’t have to be perfect to be meaningful, but they do need time, attention, and care.
Where I am today is the result of experience, reinvention, and a commitment to building something that not only serves others—but reflects the life I’ve lived and the lessons I’ve learned along the way.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth road—and I don’t think any meaningful journey ever is.
Like many entrepreneurs, my path has included pauses, pivots, and moments of reinvention. Building a business while managing real life responsibilities, raising a family, and navigating personal growth comes with its own set of challenges.
There were times when I had to step back, reassess, and rebuild with a clearer sense of direction. Transitioning from a traditional legal career into entrepreneurship also required a shift in mindset—from structure and stability to uncertainty and self-leadership.
One of the biggest challenges has been learning how to evolve with changing technology and the way business is done today. It required me to step outside of my comfort zone, learn new tools, and approach growth in a completely different way than I had in the past.
But each challenge helped refine my vision. It pushed me to become more focused and clearer about the impact I want to have—not just about business, but about the impact I want to have.
The road hasn’t been smooth, but it’s been purposeful. And every step has contributed to the clarity and direction I have today.

Passionate Vacations is a travel experience company focused on designing intentional travel for couples who want to relax and reconnect, not just get away.
I specialize in creating thoughtfully planned experiences—primarily cruises, all-inclusive resorts, and meaningful getaways—that balance relaxation, meaningful connection, and just the right amount of exploration. My clients are often busy couples who don’t have the time or energy to plan something meaningful on their own, but they know they need time together that actually matters.
What sets my work apart is the level of intention behind every experience. This isn’t about booking a trip—it’s about creating the environment for couples to slow down, communicate, and reconnect without distraction. Every recommendation is designed with that purpose in mind.
I’m also the creator of Love in Motion, a storytelling platform that highlights real couples and real relationship journeys. It reflects the deeper philosophy behind my brand: that love isn’t static—it requires movement, attention, and care.
What I’m most proud of is building a brand that aligns with both my professional experience and my personal understanding of relationships. Passionate Vacations isn’t just a service—it’s an extension of a belief that the right experiences can strengthen connection and create lasting impact.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Clarity is what I feel is most important to my success.
Everything I’ve built—both in business and in life—has come from gaining clarity about what I want to create, who I want to serve, and the impact I want to have.
That clarity didn’t happen overnight. It developed through experience, reflection, and growth. But once I became clear about my direction, my decisions became more focused and aligned.
Clarity shows up in how I design travel experiences, how I communicate with my clients, and how I continue to evolve my brand. It’s what allows me to move with purpose instead of just reacting to what’s in front of me.
I believe success isn’t just about working hard—it’s about working with direction. And for me, that direction comes from clarity.
