Today we’d like to introduce you to Arwa Momin.
Hi Arwa, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Ever since I was a kid, I always loved nature, camping, and being outdoors, and I wanted to bring a piece of it home with me something that I saw, a story I was able to tell. That is where my love for photography began. When I was little, my parents bought a small digital camera. I remember taking photos on it while I was in the park, taking pictures especially of my younger brother. During family vacations, I was known as the family photographer.
On a trip to Yosemite National Park six years ago, I visited a national park for the first time and instantly fell in love with the sequoia trees and the mountains. I did not put my phone down for a minute. That same summer, I bought my first camera and joined the school photography team, taking pictures of sporting events. I had so much fun being able to freeze action in time and capture people in joyful moments. Seeing how happy people were when they saw themselves through my lens warmed my heart.
Today, I own Enchanted Focus Photography, where my goal is to grow and capture people’s precious moments the unfiltered, raw moments where reality meets the lens. I plan to grow and expand my brand and business and deliver high-quality content.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Every creative business has a rocky road. In the beginning, creating a brand identity a name that shows clients what you will deliver is crucial. Then comes understanding clients and capturing their vision in the most pristine way possible, which takes time, patience, and commitment. I believe that with Enchanted, I was able to start smoothly thanks to the support of my friends and family and the opportunity to work with them. Their encouragement helped me grow my confidence, creativity, and passion for photography.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a portrait, sports, event, and lifestyle photographer. I’m especially passionate about sports photography capturing live action and preserving each moment exactly as it is, which reflects the heart of Enchanted.
Looking back at my work and seeing the smiles on my clients’ faces watching them see themselves through a lens in a way they never have before—is what keeps me coming back and pushes me to continue capturing the unseen.
As a photographer, my job is to freeze a moment in time so it can be relived infinitely. That’s one of the reasons I love sports photography: a game-winning shot becomes history in an instant. The same goes for a graduation photoshoot something that can be framed and cherished in a family home for generations. It’s about capturing candid, unseen moments and turning them into lasting memories.
With Enchanted Focus Photography, my goal is to capture moments worth reliving. Moments people can experience again and again.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I would like to thank everyone who helped me start this creative journey and everyone who has helped me get to where I am today.
First and foremost, I would like to thank my mom and dad for always believing in me and supporting every goal and idea I’ve had. They have always pushed me to reach for my dreams and strive for more.
I would also like to thank my friends and family for their constant support. Without them, I don’t think I would be where I am today. They helped me realize that I could create something extraordinary and always encouraged me to reach for the stars.
