Meet Sheree Khoury of The Woodlands

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sheree Khoury.

Hi Sheree, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
After9Houston started as a way for us to be more intentional with our time together. After 27 years together and now with kids in college, life can easily fall into routine, so we began exploring Houston through date nights and day dates and sharing those experiences in a way that felt real and relatable.
What started casually grew as people began turning to us for ideas and inspiration. We became more intentional with our content, focusing on curated, saveable experiences that help couples reconnect and try something new.
My background in nursing has always kept me people focused, while Nick’s experience in real estate development brings a strong business perspective. That combination has shaped how we’ve built After9Houston into a growing lifestyle platform centered around connection, experiences, and making time for what matters.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Coming from different backgrounds and like any long-term marriage, we’ve had our share of ups and downs. On top of that, building something together while managing family life and other responsibilities has required constant communication and adjustment. Those challenges have ultimately strengthened both our relationship and the direction of our brand

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’ve spent over 20 years in nursing and hold a bachelor’s degree, which has shaped my people-first approach and attention to detail. Nick is self made, he came to the U.S. at 19 with just $500 and has since built a solid real estate portfolio through development and investing.
We actually started After9Houston for fun because we’ve always loved traveling and going out and wanted a place to share those experiences. Over time, it naturally grew into something more.
We’re not professional videographers, we simply film and edit in a way that captures the vibe and makes people feel like they’re there with us.
Today, we specialize in curated date night and lifestyle experiences for couples and are known for creating content that feels elevated but still relatable, ideas people actually save, share, and use.
What we’re most proud of is our family dynamic and watching our kids grow into amazing humans and for fun, building a platform that helps couples reconnect and be intentional with their time. What sets us apart is our perspective, we’re sharing experiences through the lens of a long term relationship and real life, not just highlighting places.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
What we love most about Houston is the diversity and how much there is to explore. The food scene is incredible, there’s always something new opening, and you can have a completely different experience depending on the neighborhood. It keeps things exciting and makes it perfect for what we do.
What we like least is how spread out everything is. We travel the world and can confidently say we’d rather walk everywhere than drive an hour to get 30 minutes away. Traffic and distance can make it harder to be spontaneous.
