Meet Mahesh Mahbubani of Moksh Community Arts in Sugar land

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mahesh Mahbubani.

Mahesh, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
It started as from a very personal life experience, how dance allows me to express that which has no words, it connects me to everything and brings peace and joy to my being. After having established my dance studio I wanted to make a difference by contributing and sharing the joy I felt to the community at large.

This was the foundation of setting up the non-profit organization, to collaborate with different cultures through performance platforms and bringing people of all age groups from diverse cultural backgrounds together.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I feel it’s our perception that changes everything, I see obstacles as simply opportunities of growth, and means to go beyond what I already know, its an adventure.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Moksh Community Arts Inc – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Our Non-profit organization provides free Bollywood fitness classes at the T E Harman Senior center, and we also provide 3 Performance platforms every year.

I am very proud to see my vision into a reality, it’s living my dream every moment and gives me great pleasure to see people deriving so much joy out of all the activity we do at Moksh

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
The future is to curate Multicultural performance Art Festival that brings different cultures and their artists together, along with creative workshops.
