Today we’d like to introduce you to Bernard “Nate” Brisbane.
Hi Bernard “Nate”, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I got started in the year 2020 during the pandemic. During some of the downtime in between working in the film industry, it made me think of ways to creative and getting some of my artistic ideas out. I’ve always been the breadwinner, so I am always having to be in work mode. So my mind is always thinking logically, although I’m very creative. Picking up a camera allowed me to do something creative and be able to make a living from it.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My early steps of shooting video were done very blindly. Although I had Yotube and a dope circle of friends in film, when I was taking on jobs and freelance opportunities I was working alone. So I had to rely on what I could remember to make things work. Let’s just say that played out horribly in the beginning. Shout out to Rainey, a good friend that took me under his wing to make sure I didn’t quit. Even when things were rough and I had no clue what I was doing. He even started a photography course that I took which helped me tremendously the more I got the hang of things.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in lifestyle photography, vlog style and event recap videography. I have a great eye. One of the things that separate me is anticipation. Looking at the moments ahead in your mind know the best position to be in to get the best shot. I work with my talent to get the perfect emotion to help tell the story. Creativing directing is a strong suit of mines as well. Another great skill I bring to every shot.
How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
Being new to the Houston area, I have been reaching out and looking to collab with content creators, artists and small businesses to get my work seen in a couple of different ways. Social media or email are always the quickest ways to connect with me.
