Meet Landris Barker of Barker Consulting Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Landris Barker.

Hi Landris, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’m a 10-year Army veteran, business consultant, speaker, and the founder of Barker Consulting Group
. My journey has really been built around leadership, structure, and helping people operate more effectively. After my military career, I transitioned into the IT and business operations world, where I gained firsthand experience seeing how companies succeed — and where they struggle behind the scenes.

Over time, I realized many businesses don’t fail because of a lack of passion or talent, but because of broken systems, unclear leadership, and operational chaos. That realization pushed me to launch Barker Consulting Group to help organizations strengthen their operations, develop leaders, and create sustainable growth.

Today, I work with business owners and executives to help them bring structure to their companies, improve efficiency, and build healthier leadership cultures. I’ve also expanded into speaking and writing, including publishing my book, From Chaos to Control, which focuses on helping businesses scale without losing stability and direction. My mission is simple: help people move from chaos to clarity, both in business and leadership.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. One of the biggest challenges was transitioning from my military and IT background into entrepreneurship and building credibility as a consultant and speaker. Like many business owners, I had to learn how to grow a brand, create opportunities, and stay consistent even when results weren’t immediate.

Balancing a full-time career while building Barker Consulting Group
and writing my book was also challenging. But those experiences helped shape my leadership style and reinforced the importance of resilience, structure, and adaptability — which are now core principles in the work I do today.

We’ve been impressed with Barker Consulting Group, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Barker Consulting Group
is a business consulting and leadership development firm focused on helping organizations improve operations, strengthen leadership, and create sustainable growth. We work with business owners and executives who may be experiencing operational inefficiencies, communication gaps, or leadership challenges that are preventing their company from reaching its full potential.

What sets us apart is our practical, people-focused approach. We don’t believe in generic solutions or overly complicated strategies. Our focus is on creating structure, improving processes, and helping leaders build healthy, accountable cultures that can scale effectively. My background as a 10-year Army veteran and experience in business operations and IT also gives me a unique perspective on leadership, discipline, and systems.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud that Barker Consulting Group is built on authenticity, service, and real transformation. Whether through consulting, speaking, or my book From Chaos to Control, the goal is always to help people move from chaos and confusion to clarity, structure, and growth. I want readers to know that our brand is about more than business success — it’s about helping organizations and leaders operate with purpose, confidence, and long-term stability.

What are your plans for the future?
Looking ahead, my focus is continuing to grow Barker Consulting Group
into a nationally recognized consulting and leadership brand. I’m expanding more into speaking engagements, leadership workshops, and executive consulting while continuing to build awareness around my book, From Chaos to Control.

I’m also looking forward to developing additional resources and programs that help businesses create stronger systems and healthier leadership cultures. Long-term, I want the brand to become known not just for helping companies improve operations, but for helping leaders create lasting impact within their organizations and communities.
