Meet Raghav Singh of Silver Heart Care Inc

Today we’d like to introduce you to Raghav Singh.

Hi Raghav, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Silver Heart Care started in 2020 as a simple effort to support our local community during a really difficult time. When the COVID-19 pandemic began, we saw how deeply it was affecting senior citizens, especially those who were isolated or struggling to access basic support. My team and I started by checking in on our neighbors and looking for small ways to help the seniors around us.

That same year, we hosted our first charity run from our driveway and donated the funds to a local senior-focused organization. What began as a small community effort continued to grow each year as more people became involved and more needs became clear.

Since then, Silver Heart Care has expanded both our fundraising efforts and the services we provide. We have continued hosting our annual charity run every year, relying entirely on support from local families, businesses, and community members. In 2024, we launched our Wheels of Wellness program, which provides fully funded non-emergency medical transportation for seniors in the Greater Houston area. Through this program, we help seniors get to medical appointments, therapy visits, pharmacies, and other essential destinations.

Today, Silver Heart Care has grown from a small neighborhood initiative into a nonprofit dedicated to enhancing the care, support, and morale of seniors in our community. What has stayed the same from the beginning is our mission: to show seniors that they are valued, remembered, and supported.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has definitely not always been a smooth road. Silver Heart Care started during COVID, which created one of our first major challenges. Seniors were among the most medically vulnerable groups during the pandemic, so even though we wanted to help, it was difficult to reach them safely and directly.

That challenge has continued in a different way as we have grown. Even today, one of the biggest struggles is making sure the seniors who need our services the most actually hear about them. Many older adults are not as connected through social media, websites, or online platforms, so there can be gaps in technology knowledge that make outreach harder. Because of that, we have had to rely heavily on word of mouth, community partnerships, local organizations, and direct outreach to make sure our message reaches the right people.

While it has been challenging, those obstacles have also shaped the way we operate. They have taught us that serving seniors requires patience, trust, and consistent community relationships.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Silver Heart Care is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the care, support, and morale of seniors in our community. Our main goal is simple: we want seniors and their families to know that help is available, and that our services are offered completely free of charge.

One of our key programs is Wheels of Wellness, which provides fully funded non-emergency medical transportation for seniors in the Greater Houston area. Through this program, we help seniors get to doctor’s appointments, therapy visits, pharmacies, and other essential destinations without having to worry about the cost of transportation.

What sets Silver Heart Care apart is that we are truly community-driven. We rely on local fundraising, volunteers, partnerships, and supporters who believe in taking care of the older adults who have helped build our community. We are most proud of the trust we have built with seniors, families, and community partners over the years.

More than anything, we want readers to know that these services exist and are available for free. If you or someone you know could benefit from support, please reach out to us at [email protected]

How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happiest is when families realize the services we offer and see the impact it can have on their loved ones. A lot of families are trying to balance work, school, distance, and their own responsibilities while also wanting to make sure the seniors in their lives are cared for.

Being able to make a senior’s day easier, help them get where they need to go, and bring them a sense of comfort means a lot to us. It is also incredibly rewarding to give families relief and peace of mind knowing that someone is looking after their loved one. For us, that is what Silver Heart Care is really about: supporting seniors while also supporting the families who care about them.
