Inspiring Conversations with Ariana Herrera Morales of Lashed By Ariana

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ariana Herrera Morales.

Hi Ariana, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started lashing in 2021 after having my daughter. Becoming a mom made me realize how important it was for me to have more flexibility and be able to spend more time with my family. I decided to quit my job and invest in myself by attending cosmetology school to earn my lash artist license.

After graduating, I immediately found a job at a salon in Houston that later opened a location in my hometown of Conroe. The owner of the salon, Kay Dinh, became my mentor and taught me the foundation of lashing — everything from proper isolation and lash placement to styling and fan making.

As my passion for the industry grew, I continued investing in my education by taking advanced classes with several talented lash artists and educators, including Yoyis from Yoyis Lash Beauty, Elisa from Kakun Academy, BKO Lash Club, and others. It has taken years of practice, consistency, and dedication to perfect my work, and I’m still constantly learning new styles, techniques, and trends as the beauty industry evolves.

Lashing has completely changed my life. It has given me the freedom to manage my own schedule, grow my own business, and most importantly, spend more quality time with my kids while doing something I truly love.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely has not been an easy road. There have been moments where I was fully booked and doing great, and then moments where I didn’t have a single client, only to slowly build myself back up again. Especially with the economy, it has been difficult at times to stay afloat as a small business owner.

One thing this journey has taught me is to stay consistent and keep pushing even during the slow seasons. I understand the struggles that come with building a business from the ground up, and there were many moments where I questioned myself. But every challenge has helped me grow, improve my work, and appreciate the loyal clients who continue to support me.

Even through the ups and downs, I’m grateful that I didn’t give up because this career has given me the opportunity to create a better balance between work and family while doing something I truly love.

We’ve been impressed with Lashed By Ariana , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I specialize in lash extensions and creating custom lash sets that are tailored specifically to each client’s eye shape, style, and natural lashes. One thing that is very important to me is not only making my clients feel beautiful, but also protecting and maintaining their natural lash health. I believe lashes should enhance your beauty without damaging your natural lashes.

I offer a variety of custom lash services as well as lash classes, where I focus on helping other lash artists become the best version of themselves. I love sharing the knowledge and techniques I’ve learned throughout the years because I know how life-changing this industry can be. Supporting and educating upcoming lash artists is something I’m very passionate about.

I’m also very interested in brow services and continuing to expand my skills within the beauty industry. My next goal is to go back to cosmetology school to obtain my esthetician license so I can continue growing my business and offer even more services to my clients.

What sets me apart is the care and passion I put into my work. I truly take the time to understand my clients’ needs, stay updated on new trends and techniques, and continue investing in education to perfect my craft. Brand wise, I’m most proud of building something that gives me the freedom to support my family while also helping others feel confident and beautiful.

What’s next?
For the future, I’m very interested in expanding into brow services and continuing to grow within the beauty industry. One of my biggest goals is to go back to cosmetology school to obtain my esthetician license so I can add more brow and skincare-related services to my business. I love learning new techniques and continuing my education, so I’m excited for the opportunities that will bring.

I also help my dad with his business, Herrera Auto Paint, which is his body shop. Being involved in both the beauty industry and our family business has taught me a lot about entrepreneurship and hard work. In the future, I plan to continue helping him expand the business even more and contribute to its growth.

Overall, I’m looking forward to growing both professionally and personally, expanding my services, continuing to build my brand, and creating more opportunities for myself and my family.
