Hi Sabrina , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I opened this business in order to bring decades professional and self-taught makeup and skincare to people. From Mary Kay, to Mac Cosmetics I’ve been lucky to store up a wealth knowledge about products, application, and techniques.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
For me, when you put your mind to something, pray, and simply do the work, anything is possible. Many times an obstacle is only as big as my mind makes it. Once I get to work, problems fade away.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I do hands-on facials and device forward facials. I enjoy having a good variety of modalities to offer clients. Whether you are trying a professional facial for the first time, you’re a skinthusiast, or somewhere in between, you’ll find a service you enjoy here. My clients are who push me to consider adding new and different things. For example, lash lifting was the result of client demand ! I’m stuck between brow lamination and facials as the two services I enjoy doing the most. I would say I’m known for results, hospitality, and expertise. I’m most proud of my business entering its fourth year. I’d say what sets me apart from others is my attention to detail, knowledge, willingness to accept feedback (good and bad), and my desire to stay curious about the industry. I still want to know what people are trying, liking, or dislike even if I don’t offer it.
How do you define success?
One- operating in the black as much as possible. It takes time especially if you’re building on your own.
Two- being happy to show up and do what you do. Of course there will be seasons when your business frustrates you like working for someone- but if most of the time you’re excited and look forward to your day- it’s a good deal’
Three- time freedom. Choosing when I prefer to work.
Four- client discretion- I welcome everyone but if we aren’t a good fit you’re welcome to go somewhere else and I have no problem referring out.
