Cypress Venue was created out of a passion for bringing people together and creating memorable experiences for the community. What started as a small event space quickly grew into something much bigger as we began hosting celebrations, networking events, workshops, line dancing classes, and affordable micro weddings for families who wanted beautiful experiences without breaking the bank.
Our journey has not been without challenges. At our previous location, we dealt with a landlord situation that made it difficult for small businesses to thrive. The focus seemed to be more on maximizing profit than supporting the tenants and creating a successful business environment. Parking lots were rented out for unrelated events, and spaces were leased without consideration for how it affected existing businesses, even bringing in competing concepts. Unfortunately, those challenges eventually pushed us to seek a better environment where we could truly grow and serve our clients the way we envisioned.
That transition ultimately became a blessing in disguise. We found a new location that better aligns with our vision for Cypress Venue and allows us to expand our focus on affordable luxury experiences and community-centered events. Today, we proudly host micro weddings, DIY workshops, co-working opportunities, dance events, networking mixers, celebrations, and much more.
As a woman-owned business, our goal has always been bigger than simply renting a venue. We strive to create a welcoming space where people can celebrate milestones, build connections, learn new skills, and create lasting memories. Every challenge along the way has helped shape Cypress Venue into the resilient and versatile brand it is today.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely has not been a smooth road, but every challenge has helped us grow stronger and wiser as business owners. One of the biggest struggles we faced was outgrowing and eventually being forced to leave our previous location due to ongoing issues with property management. There was little consideration for the success and stability of existing tenants, and decisions were often made that negatively impacted businesses already operating there. Parking areas were rented out for unrelated events, and competing businesses were brought into the same environment without concern for how it affected tenants.
As a venue business, parking, accessibility, and customer experience are extremely important, so those challenges created obstacles not only for us but also for our clients. On top of that, like many small businesses, we have faced the normal ups and downs of entrepreneurship — balancing finances, managing growth, wearing multiple hats, and constantly adapting to changes in the economy and event industry.
There were moments that tested us mentally, emotionally, and financially, but instead of giving up, we used those experiences as motivation to evolve. Relocating to a new space gave us the opportunity to rebuild with a stronger vision and create the type of environment we always wanted for our clients and community.
The journey has taught us resilience, adaptability, and the importance of staying focused on purpose over obstacles. Today, we are proud that Cypress Venue continues to grow into more than just an event space — it has become a place where people connect, celebrate, heal, network, and create memories.

We specialize in hosting a wide variety of events including micro weddings, birthday celebrations, networking mixers, baby showers, corporate gatherings, DIY workshops, dance classes, pop-up events, community outreach programs, and social experiences that bring people together.

We work with photographers, videographers, content creators, and small brands by offering studio rentals for photoshoots, branding sessions, video production, and creative content creation. We proudly open our doors to other photographers and creatives looking for a professional and versatile environment to bring their vision to life.
Beyond the venue itself, our brand is deeply rooted in community and collaboration. We take pride in creating opportunities for small businesses, entrepreneurs, creatives, and local organizations to connect and grow together. Through free line dance classes, networking events, women’s empowerment events, workshops, and collaborations with other local brands, we strive to create an environment that feels inclusive, uplifting, and inspiring.
What we are most proud of brand-wise is our resilience and authenticity. Every challenge we have faced has pushed us to evolve, improve, and stay focused on our mission. We are proud that people don’t just see Cypress Venue as a building — they see it as an experience and a place where memories are made. One of our biggest goals is to continue building Cypress Venue into a recognized destination for not only celebrations, but also creativity, collaboration, and entrepreneurship.
We are excited about expanding our micro wedding experiences and becoming known as a go-to affordable luxury wedding destination for couples who want beautiful celebrations without the overwhelming costs of traditional venues. We also plan to continue growing our community-centered events such as networking mixers, women’s empowerment events, DIY workshops, dance nights, and social experiences that bring people together in positive ways.
Another area we are looking forward to expanding is our creative studio side of the business. We want to continue creating opportunities for photographers, videographers, podcasters, and content creators by offering a versatile space where they can create high-quality content and grow their own brands. We also hope to develop more collaborations with local businesses, artists, and entrepreneurs to help strengthen the creative community around us.
One of the biggest changes for us recently was relocating into a new space that better aligns with our long-term vision. This move has opened the door for more opportunities, larger events, improved experiences for our clients, and the ability to continue evolving the brand in exciting new ways.
Most importantly, we look forward to continuing to inspire people through what we do. We want Cypress Venue to be known as more than just a venue — we want it to be known as a place where people celebrate milestones, build relationships, create opportunities, and make lasting memories.
