Meet Carl of Creation Brand

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carl.

Hi Carl, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My story always starts with God. I want to thank my Lord and Savior for creating my story before I was created. Creation Brand was inspired by my mental health struggles. In 2022, I was going through betrayal of a close friend, workplace drama, health issues, panic attacks, and struggling in graduate school simultaneously. I was drained, overwhelmed, and suffering in silence. While going through my mental health struggles, I started coming up with the initiation of Creation Brand and turning to my faith to help me through these tough times. As time went on, my desire to understand God grew even stronger. Even though I previously started reading the Bible and knew God all of my life, this time was different. I didn’t have this desire before. Fast forward to March 2024, I lost my nursing job. It was a devastating loss because my identity and purpose was tied to my nursing career. I felt lost and needed direction. So, one day, I decided to start reading the Bible again. After reading God’s Creation in the book of Genesis, it helped to redefine my identity and purpose in God. It was during this instance when I came up with the purpose of Creation Brand to inspire identity and purpose through the integration of faith and mental health. I wanted Creation Brand to be a Christian consumer goods brand that centered on faith and mental health. Even though I knew this hasn’t been done before, I still had fear and uncertainty. Despite the fear and uncertainty I felt, I took the leap of faith to start Creation Brand in October 2024 with our black Christian T-shirts online. In 2025, I started doing vendor events, along with adding more products, including gold Christian T-shirts, long-sleeve tees, and sweatshirts. Today, I’m still selling our products online along with doing vendor events almost every weekend, sharing my testimony and products with others. I’m grateful to be obedient to God in building this kingdom business to help bring people into the freedom of the children of God.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, but I’m learning to be joyful in the midst of the trials (James 1:2). One struggle is learning the business components to cultivate a strong foundation for scalability and growth. I am fairly new to the business world, but I have been learning a lot about business. For example, I have been learning about the different business laws that I have to comply with. Another struggle is getting out of my comfort zone. It is uncomfortable to be challenged, but I’m embracing it. So far, blessings have came out of being uncomfortable. Another struggle is balance. Currently, I’m balancing putting God first, taking care of myself, my health, my career, loved ones, and running my business. I’m juggling a lot, but I’ve learned to give myself grace and to do the best that I can.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Creation Brand?
Creation Brand is a Christian consumer goods brand, inspiring identity and purpose within adults (18-65) dealing with mental health struggles. Along with being inspired by my testimony, Creation Brand is inspired by Genesis 1:27 (“So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them”) and Ephesians 2:10 (“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”). Creation Brand is a movement to integrate faith and mental health in their lives. We are mainly known for our Christian T-shirts, but we also sell Christian long sleeve tees and sweatshirts with more products to come.

Also, we are known for our bold “minimalistic” designs. There are several things that set us apart from other Christian brands. One is our bold “minimalistic” designs, Second, we’re a Christian consumer goods that incorporate mental health and faith in our mission. You only hear about the faith in most Christian brands, but not the health component. Lastly, we incorporate scripture into our color variations, campaigns, and pricing. I am most proud of the international visibility that Creation Brand has experienced in a short period of time. For instance, we had website visitors from Ghana, India, Brazil, Ireland, and Canada to name a few.

Along with the shirts, I want the readers to know that we have content. We have prayers, vendor events highlights, bible verses, and more. Support our content on social media and on our YouTube channel. Lastly, I want the readers to know that their identity, purpose, and mental health matter. It is important that they know that they are vital to this world. You are loved deeply and God cares about you. I am deeply sorry for the pain that they have experienced, but know that they have the power to decide how to use their pain. They have more power within themselves than they realize. I pray that the readers use their pain for power and testimony to help others. May they put God first and take care of their mental well-being. Amen.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Not a significant role. I don’t really believe in luck. However, if I have a bad experience with something, I tend to not do that experience again. Although, it depends on the situation. But, I am grateful for the lessons learned. I do believe that everything happens in God’s time for a reason. I believe that God is the reason for the life and the business that I have.
