Today we’d like to introduce you to Lawrence Bell.
Lawrence, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Lawrence Bell the second. I’ve been a professional actor over 20 years TV shows commercials and film for most of my life born to raised in third war Houston started early acting at three years old at St.James school on southmore educated at a school that had people coming in like Destiny’s Child, Felicia, Rashad, Loretta Divine Maya, Angelou and Debbie Allen just the name a few I got my first agent when I was nine years old went on my first audition and booked it for the show Houston open golf tournament a commercial with Tiger Woods. Those beginnings allow me to be able to not only book more work but gain more representation outside of Houston to travel to Los Angeles for roles and more work I’ve been on Disney Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network. I worked a bone movie series on Tubi prime video with friends and was able to accomplish that in 2019 and I was a lead actor. I helped write diretct and produce. I’ve had final audition for a lot of big projects and big buddies that allow me to meet a lot of famous people throughout my career. I’m also done a lot of mascot work. I was the Michelin man for the Texas Michelin restaurant awards this past year and I’ve continued to do more mascot work also voiceover acting.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I feel like a majority of the struggles I went through were just the same as anybody else’s struggles, but I continue to work because I always knew who I represented and who believed in me my parents always backed me and my family did as well having a support system is crucial and critical to being able to create naturally at your natural speed, and I was blessed enough to have that most of my career by the time I moved to Los Angeles I had to deal with more adulting, which clash with my creating, but I was able to find balance and still bookwork nonetheless gotta keep the faith
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Being a professional actor over 20 years, I love that I have been part of the screen actors guild since the beginning. I also love the theater and we need to fight for the arts for the next generation to be able to perform as well as be educated in the history of the stage. I’m most proud of every opportunity that I get and that’s on the way because I’m a man of consistency and I try to break every ceiling I specialize with improvisation and preparation. Being a Thespian is a constant duty to translate the experience of life don’t take you to breakfast.
