Hi Leigh Anne, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My husband and I took our three boys to Galveston for a family vacation. There’s a place on the island that rents out 1925 Model-T Replicas. I told my husband it would be neat to rent them out for weddings. A week went by and I still couldn’t get the idea out of my head, so mentioned it to him again. Then on the third week, I said to him “no, really, I think it would make a great business”. I started praying about it. We checked into the cost. We could either buy a new one which took 3 months to manufacture or we could buy a used one from the gentlemen on the island and start using it right away. One day, I started praying and asked God to show me a penny on heads that day and that would be my sign from him that it was his will. I have twins Brooks & Brayden. Brayden has Down syndrome, so he gets a lot of attention, so from time to time, I take Brooks on a mom and son date. That day, I surprised him and got him out of school early and took him for
Ice cream. We got our ice cream and went to sit down at the table and there was not only one penny on heads, but two. One looked very shiny and fresh off the press and the other was so dingy that you could barely tell it was on heads. That was only 4 hours after I prayed that prayer. God not only gave me his blessing to start the business, but he showed me what to purchase. We then bought one brand new one and one used one. I then had the thought that not everyone is going to want a 1925 Model-T replica, so I started talking with other classic car owners to partner with me. I then purchased a few additional cars myself and we now offer 30 vehicles on our website at ClassicCruisers.net
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Each of our car partners has different preferences, availability, and locations, so when we receive requests for multiple vehicles, we first have to coordinate and match the right cars and owners before confirming availability. We also calculate mileage and travel logistics individually based on where each vehicle is located.
Because the majority of our fleet consists of classic cars, there can occasionally be some unpredictability despite the extensive and meticulous maintenance we perform on each vehicle. Unlike modern vehicles, classic cars also cannot typically be financed through standard auto loans, which can make securing funding and expanding the fleet more challenging.

I love Houston because it’s one of the largest wedding markets in the country. There’s such a strong wedding and event community here, along with incredible opportunities to grow and collaborate with amazing venues and vendors. Houston is also continuing to grow in the production industry, with more film and media productions moving away from Hollywood and choosing Texas and Houston for projects, which creates even more opportunities for specialty and classic transportation services.
While I love the opportunities Houston offers, one challenge is the size and travel demands of the market. Venues and events can be spread far apart, which increases travel time, logistics, and operating costs, especially when transporting and maintaining classic vehicles. The heat, traffic, and unpredictable weather can also add additional challenges when working with vintage cars and outdoor events.
