Today we’d like to introduce you to James Taylor.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I love this question so how everything started was we just got back home from a trip in Austin performing music. I end up getting food poisoning and was sick for a few days. I was doom watching YouTube and saw someone just showcasing all of their games and playing games and blogging on YouTube. I look around my room and I’m like I have all these video games. Why not do something with all this and that’s when I got inspired to start my journey on YouTube and then of course, the first year was just me uploading gameplay till I went to my very first convention, which is called Retropalooza since then I’m going into my second year of YouTube. I was going to conventions every weekend from Dallas to Austin San Antonio McAllen Texas, Oklahoma. I’ve been everywhere hosting panels being on the media team and just meeting. Amazing people. I put myself out there so I can’t get discovered you have to get out your comfort zone to really get to the places you want to be at
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nothing is always smooth, but it’s how you make it that decides if it goes smooth or not the toughest things that I really had to deal with first starting off is Just having to takeoff work every Friday to make these three day conventions but honestly, other than that with the first starting off, everything has been so smooth like I said it’s up to you how smooth or rough is going to be
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I work in the school district as an ISS teacher and what I’m known for, it’s actually being the cool teacher out the entire school lol 🤣 since I’m into Anime video games and sports. It’s easy to connect with the kids. What am I most proud of honestly, knowing that I made a positive impact on a lot of the students hearing them tell me their favorite moments that they had were always be one of my proudest moments for me. I think we assist me apart from others is that I have the most patience in the world.lol out of everybody that I work with
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I think the most surprising thing that people who works with me, don’t know that I’m a content creator
