Amber, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Glam By Nurse Am started with a passion for helping people feel confident, beautiful, and empowered in their own skin. As a nurse, I always loved the combination of science, artistry, and patient care, and aesthetics gave me the opportunity to blend all three in a way that truly changes how people feel about themselves.
What began as a dream and a small vision quickly grew through hard work, continuing education, and the trust of amazing clients who believed in me and my work. I focused on creating an experience where clients felt comfortable, educated, and genuinely cared for — not just another appointment on the schedule. From injectables and skincare treatments to building lasting relationships with patients, every step has been centered around natural results and helping people enhance their confidence.
Over time, Glam By Nurse Am has continued to grow into something bigger than I imagined. We have expanded into the Huntsville market with RëWynd Wellness Collective and have some big dreams for the Bryan/College Station areas as well! Through the support of our community, loyal clients, friends, and family, we’ve been able to expand our services, our team, and our impact. There have definitely been challenges along the way, but every obstacle helped shape the business into what it is today.
At the heart of it all, our brand is about much more than aesthetics — it’s about making people feel seen, confident, and beautiful both inside and out. We’re incredibly grateful for everyone who has been part of this journey and excited for what’s still ahead.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like any small business journey, it definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Building Glam By Nurse Am came with a lot of long hours, sacrifices, and learning experiences. In the beginning, one of the biggest challenges was balancing the clinical side of nursing with the business side of entrepreneurship. I had to learn not only how to perfect my craft in aesthetics, but also how to manage marketing, branding, scheduling, customer service, and all of the behind-the-scenes responsibilities that come with growing a business.
Another challenge was building trust and establishing a name in a very competitive industry. Growth didn’t happen overnight — it took consistency, continuing education, showing up every day, and truly putting clients first. There were moments of self-doubt, exhaustion, and times where things felt overwhelming, especially while trying to grow and expand while still maintaining the quality and personalized care that Glam By Nurse Am is known for.
Like many business owners, there were also financial risks and growing pains along the way. Investing back into the business, expanding services, and keeping up with industry advancements required a lot of faith and determination. But every challenge taught valuable lessons and helped create a stronger foundation for where we are today.
Looking back, the struggles were all part of the journey and made the success that much more meaningful. They helped shape not only the business, but also the person behind it.

Clients can tell when you truly care about them, and building real relationships has been one of the biggest foundations of our growth.
Consistency has also played a huge role. Showing up every day, continuing to learn, staying committed to patient safety, and always striving to provide the best experience possible has helped build credibility and trust within our community. Success didn’t happen overnight, but remaining passionate, hardworking, and dedicated to growth — even during challenging seasons — made all the difference.
