Today we’d like to introduce you to Alma “Angie” Alonzo-Moreno.
Hi Alma “Angie”, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I work full-time as a CT/X-Ray Technologist in a freestanding ER. After long shifts in the emergency room, I would often unwind by watching bead videos on social media—from packing bead orders to tutorials on creating different bead products. What started as simply enjoying ASMR videos quickly turned into a hobby of my own.
In Christmas 2024, I decided to make bracelets and phone charms for my friends and coworkers. Shortly after, with the support of my family, I officially launched Angie’s Bead Boutique on February 7, 2025.
Throughout the rest of 2025, I dedicated myself to attending as many pop-up markets as possible. Along the way, I received amazing feedback from customers and fellow vendors that helped me continue growing my business and improving my products.
On January 13, 2026, I became a vendor at Shop the Famous Market in Pearland, Texas, and on May 23, 2026, I became a vendor at Faithfully Her Boutique in Deer Park, Texas.
What began with bracelets and bag charms has grown into so much more. I now create crossbody chains, lanyards, pens, badge reels, and so much more. I am always looking for ways to improve my craft, which means I’m constantly adding new products and ideas.
I love a challenge, so if there’s a new product I’ve never made before, I’m always willing to give it a try. I pour my heart and soul into every creation, and I especially enjoy making custom pieces for my customers.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There is certainly not a shortage of business owners who create products similar to mine. With that being said, I always strive to stand out by offering unique products and continuously finding ways to be different. My goal has always been to create items that feel personal, creative, and meaningful to my customers.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m best known for my one-of-a-kind Luxury charms. I love experimenting with creative, unexpected designs, and I rarely make the same piece twice. Custom orders are one of my favorite parts of what I do. I’m grateful my customers trust my creativity and allow me the freedom to create truly unique pieces, which makes each creation feel personal and special.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I am naturally very antisocial. As much as I love talking and joking around, it takes me a while to feel comfortable around new people. When I first started doing pop-up markets, my husband constantly had to remind me to speak to customers.
Even now, doing markets still pushes me outside of my comfort zone. Starting conversations with new customers does not come naturally to me, but I continue to challenge myself with every event. Over time, I have become more confident and comfortable interacting with people, and each market experience helps me grow both personally and professionally.
