Inspiring Conversations with Tosha Hypolite of Tosha Hypolite Realty Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tosha Hypolite.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Looking back, I realize that entrepreneurship, service, and community have always been woven into my story. I began my career in accounting and finance, where I developed a strong business foundation. I later transitioned into business development for an accounting and finance recruiting firm, where I worked closely with CFOs, controllers, finance directors, and hiring managers to understand their hiring needs and help connect them with top talent. It was during that time that I discovered what truly energized me: building relationships, solving problems, and helping people navigate important decisions. I also realized that I genuinely enjoyed business development and sales and was fortunate to find success doing it.

Entrepreneurship runs deep in my family. My father was a business owner- author and playwright. He owned one of Houston’s first dashiki shops and taught me the value of creativity, courage, and building something of my own. My mother, a retired special education teacher, instilled in me the importance of compassion, service, and caring for others. Looking back, I can see how both of their influences shaped the way I approach my life and business today.

Real estate has always been part of my family’s story as well, although I didn’t fully grasp just how much until a few years ago. I learned that my great-grandmother was a pioneering African American real estate broker in Houston. In fact, she sold my late parents their first home. Discovering that part of my family’s history felt like a full-circle moment and gave me an even deeper appreciation for the path I had chosen.

In 2018, I decided to pursue real estate full-time, combining my business background, entrepreneurial spirit, and passion for serving others. Today, as a Realtor with Keller Williams Houston Preferred, I strive to provide a luxury experience at every price point. For me, real estate is about so much more than buying and selling homes—it’s about helping people navigate major life transitions, building meaningful relationships, and creating community. Whether I’m helping clients achieve their real estate goals or hosting community-centered events like Bubbles & Bites and Ink & Intention, my mission remains the same: to serve with strategy, authenticity, and heart.

Outside of real estate, I’ve found a sense of peace, connection, and balance through outdoor cycling. There’s something about being on the road, surrounded by community and moving at my own pace, that allows me to reflect, recharge, and gain perspective. Through group rides and events like the Texas MS 150, I’ve learned that success isn’t always about speed, it’s about resilience, consistency, and continuing to move forward when the road gets difficult. Cycling has taught me to embrace the journey, find peace in the process, and keep moving forward with intention.

When I’m not serving clients or on my bike, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our son, and our Goldendoodle, Bruno. They keep me grounded and serve as a daily reminder that while achievement is important, the relationships we build and the moments we share are what matters most.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has definitely not been a smooth road, but every challenge has helped shape who I am today. Entrepreneurship runs in my family, but I’ve learned firsthand that building something meaningful requires resilience, adaptability, and perseverance.

One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced has been navigating personal loss while continuing to move forward with purpose. Losing both of my parents had a profound impact on me and reinforced the importance of relationships, service, and making a positive difference in the lives of others.

Professionally, I’ve learned that success isn’t just about achievement, it’s about authenticity, consistency, and staying committed to your purpose, even when the path isn’t easy. Building my real estate business and creating community-centered experiences like Bubbles & Bites and Ink & Intention have taught me the value of perseverance, creativity, and bringing people together.

Looking back, I wouldn’t change the challenges I’ve faced, because they have strengthened my faith, deepened my empathy, and shaped the way I serve my clients and my community today.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Tosha Hypolite Realty Group was built on the belief that real estate is about more than buying and selling homes, it’s about building relationships, creating community, and curating memorable experiences that leave a lasting impact.

I began my real estate career in 2018 after discovering that my greatest passion is serving others. Entrepreneurship and service have always been woven into my family’s story. My father was a business owner, playwright, and author who owned Houston’s first dashiki shop and taught me the value of creativity, vision, and building something meaningful. My mother was a special education teacher who instilled in me the importance of compassion, patience, and caring for others.

More recently, I learned that my great-grandmother was one of Houston’s first African American real estate brokers. In fact, she sold my late parents their first home. Knowing that entrepreneurship, service, and real estate have such deep roots in my family has made this journey even more meaningful and reaffirmed that I am walking in a legacy of purpose.

Through Tosha Hypolite Realty Group, I provide a personalized, relationship-driven experience for buyers, investors, sellers, and those relocating to the Greater Metropolitan Houston area. I believe every client deserves a luxury experience, regardless of price point, and I pride myself on combining strategic guidance with genuine care.

Beyond traditional real estate services, I am passionate about creating intentional experiences that bring people together. I started Bubbles & Bites: Meet the Builder, my signature experiential event series that brings together homebuyers, builders, and local communities through intentional hospitality, meaningful conversation, and education about the new construction home-buying journey. I also founded Ink & Intention: A Handwritten Note Gathering quarterly event that’s designed to encourage intentional connection, gratitude, and community in an increasingly digital world.

What sets me apart is my commitment to authenticity, service, and community. I want people to know that when they work with me, they are not just gaining a real estate professional, they are gaining an advocate, a strategist, and someone who genuinely cares about helping them achieve their goals while creating memorable experiences along the way. At the end of the day, I consider myself a bit of a ‘mama bear’ when it comes to my clients. I’m fiercely protective of their best interests, deeply invested in their goals, and committed to guiding them through every step of the journey.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I believe the real estate industry will continue to become more technology-driven, but I don’t think technology will replace the importance of relationships. Buyers and sellers have access to more information than ever before, and artificial intelligence, virtual tours, predictive analytics, and digital transaction platforms will continue to transform how we do business.

At the same time, I believe consumers will place an even greater value on trusted advisors who can provide strategy, guidance, and a personalized experience. The agents who thrive will be those who combine innovation with authentic relationship-building. I have embraced technology and this whole AI world. There is something new to learn every day.

I also see continued growth in new construction, lifestyle-driven communities, and experiential marketing. As a Realtor, I’ve found that people are looking for more than just a home, they’re looking for community, connection, and experiences. That’s one of the reasons I created events like Bubbles & Bites: Meet the Builder and Ink & Intention, which are designed to bring people together in meaningful ways while creating opportunities for education and connection.

Over the next decade, I believe the most successful real estate professionals will be those who embrace change, leverage technology wisely, and continue to lead with creativity, service, and a genuine commitment to the people they serve.
