Meet Reneé Venegas Parrott of Houston

Today we’d like to introduce you to Reneé Venegas Parrott.

Hi Reneé Venegas, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
For the most of my adult life I managed a large medical group. Filled with tremendous busy days, intense responsibilities, and an overwhelming amount of stress. When the world paused in tragedy during movie, I was laid off along with many operational managers. I suddenly had no direction.

This was the chapter of loss and grief, losing my mother, my sister and a few years later my beloved father.

I felt the unraveling of my focus direction was being led by grief.

When my husband helped guide me to this idea of creating a space where I could push my focus into a haven of peace. A place to create things I loved. Where I could share my love, gifts, and the healing of Jesus with others.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Somedays there are financial struggles, but always solved by the good people in our community.

Finding the right people who are dedicated to the same love and values im trying to share with others.

I have had people want to be part of our journey because they are unhappy with their current job, or their life or just need money. But none who know how to follow through and actually share the work load. And stand by the genuine love we want to reflect.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I make soy candles and wax melts. This is where I started. This is what i am proud of and where the inspiration came from.

I am most proud of our candle classes. This allows me to share the excitement and fun education about candles with others. We also offer mobile candle classes, where we come to you.

We are a hub for other events: Painting classes, plant Bingo, Trucker hat Bar, Plant Singo, led by our local small businesses.

We pray over every candle.

We have expanded to other organic handcrafted products: facial cream, foaming scrub, magnesium spray, magnesium salt soak, magnesium milk bath, aroma sprays, laundry detergent, diffusers and much more.

I won 2026 Cream of the Crop Crosby Best Maker.

We host/coordinate small vendor markets for our local small businesses. The market community allows us to support many hard working makers. We won 2026 Cream of The Crop in Crosby- Best Market in Crosby.

What matters most to you? Why?
Showing my community that we love them. We pray for many customers that visit us -that are going through challenging times. We speak to them about the gospel of Jesus and how He can change your life.

That I am remembered as a kind person that enjoyed making beautiful things and loved everyone. Simply because this is a temporary place.
