Rising Stars: Meet Amashoda Ajuzie of Houston

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amashoda Ajuzie.

Hi Amashoda, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started this business when my children were young, to supplement income. I found a passion in everything that I do. Seeing the joy in customers eyes as they received their orders gave me such job! I absolutely love what I do.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Time!!! It’s been my biggest hurdle. There’s not enough time for me to do everything all in one day.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a single mother of six boys and have come so far not only in business but in my career. I have been at my job for a little over 10 years and have maintained my business for a little over eight years. I love creating and working with people. I’m so proud of how far I’ve come. Between work, business, and being a mom it can be tedious at times, however I’ve made it work through out the years. I’m proud that I’ve built something from the heart.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love the diversity. I am from a small town in Iowa and this is like a whole new world. The traffic is the worst part of the city! By the way I simply just hate driving.
