Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaliyah Divine.
Hi Aaliyah, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m Aaliyah Divine, a performer, actress, model, makeup artist, personal trainer, and content creator. My passion is helping women build confidence—whether that’s through fitness, beauty, or sharing my story. Although my career has taken me down many creative paths, each one has given me an opportunity to help others discover confidence, purpose, and the gifts God has placed within them.
Much of my inspiration came from my mother, a professional performer who raised me in the performing arts. She saw the light God placed within me at a young age and encouraged me to explore my creativity. I trained at the AMDA Conservatory Summer Program in New York City and at the North Carolina Black Repertory Company under the mentorship of Mabel P. Robinson, which further developed my skills as a performer. I was always a curious and adventurous child, and growing up, YouTube sparked my fascination with beauty. I began doing my own hair at 14 years old and started doing makeup for my peers at just 16.
Along my journey, I’ve been blessed to receive recognition for my work in the performing arts. I was nominated for two 2025 ACE Awards in Greensboro, North Carolina, which celebrate local talent and performing artists, and I earned First Place Singer in the 2023 Harambee Festival Talent Search Competition in Columbia, South Carolina. These achievements are especially meaningful because they represent years of dedication, growth, and faith in the gifts God placed within me.
Today, I continue to pursue my passion for the arts through singing, acting, modeling, and creating music available on all major streaming platforms. I’m honored to serve as a worship leader at my local church and to travel and minister through music at churches and events whenever God opens the door. Alongside my performing career, I continue to work as a professional makeup artist and lead Power Hour, a women’s fitness class designed to encourage, challenge, and uplift women.
What I’m most proud of is my perseverance. Entrepreneurship, healing, and personal growth have all come with challenges, but I’ve learned that I truly can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. After overcoming self-doubt, suicidal thoughts and attempts, and countless closed doors, I know that God’s grace has carried me to where I am today.
At the heart of everything I do is the same mission: to inspire others to keep going, trust God, and believe in themselves. Whether I’m on stage, behind the makeup chair, leading a workout, or ministering through worship, I hope my story reminds people that God can use every challenge for a greater purpose.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of the greatest challenges I’ve faced as an entrepreneur and performer is learning how to keep showing up, even when you don’t know if people will support what you’re building. It can be discouraging to pour your heart into your craft without seeing immediate results, especially in an industry where success often takes years of consistency and perseverance.
At the same time, that challenge has become one of my greatest blessings. It has humbled me and strengthened my faith, reminding me that God has never left my side. I’ve also learned to appreciate the village God has surrounded me with—people who genuinely believe in me and continue to encourage me along the way.
Choosing this path is a daily decision because it’s a long-term investment. Not every day is exciting, and there will be seasons of drought, disappointment, and waiting. But I’ve learned that as long as I continue growing, becoming wiser, more patient, and more joyful through the process, the journey itself becomes just as valuable as the destination. Every challenge has shaped me into the woman, entrepreneur, and artist I am today.

I’m a versatile creative whose work spans the performing arts, beauty, fitness, and digital content. As a performer, I sing, act, model, and create original music, while also serving as a worship leader and ministering through music. Beyond the stage, I’m a professional makeup artist, certified personal trainer, and the founder of Power Hour, a women’s fitness community focused on building strength, confidence, and accountability. No matter what I’m doing, my goal is to help people feel seen, empowered, and encouraged.
What I’m most proud of isn’t any single accomplishment—it’s the fact that I never gave up on the gifts God placed inside of me. I believe what sets me apart is my willingness to use every platform I’ve been given to serve others. Whether I’m performing, teaching fitness, creating content, or doing makeup, I want people to leave feeling more confident, more hopeful, and inspired to walk boldly in who God created them to be.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I believe joy is one of the most important keys to success, especially in this field, because there will be a lot of “no’s,” closed doors, and moments of uncertainty or lack of support. But I’ve learned that when you continue to walk in joy, you remain fulfilled in life and are able to share that joy with others.
People are always looking for hope, and I believe joy is not only contagious, but it also draws people in. It makes others want to support you because people remember how you made them feel. In everything I do, I try to lead with joy so that I can be a light in every space I enter.
