Check Out Susie B.’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Susie B..

Hi Susie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
2021 I went to Los Angeles for the first time and when I came back home to Texas I was just inspired so I went to the studio with my friends and made my first song Stay Down a song to my children. After that music became a hobby for me. It wasn’t something that I was taking very seriously it was just fun for me. I’d go to the studio and make a song every time I just had a moment to and it was so enjoyable. I may have made about 7 songs before i got the song with Youngboy. The song I made with him I texted it to him and he liked it and was like I’ll sign you. So when we dropped it was all eyes on me but I was very much still rusty but I did it anyway. After that everyone just kept telling me to drop more so that’s when I realized I had gained some actual fans and that’s what keeps me going because they always asking me when or dropping and if I haven’t in a while they check in and see.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’ve struggled with many things. I was supposed to sign a deal I didn’t, I had to keep going. People tried to tear my confidence down. I had to be able to hustle to fund all of this on my own.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a musician, but I also run my own business. I never finished high school and I never been to college. I tried to finish several times but my life was moving too fast for me to focus up on it. Plus I have 2 children so I’ve been more concerned about money. I always start things but never finish, so these were the 2 things I said I will be finishing! I’m most proud of myself because every dream I have had people told me it wouldn’t work or it wasn’t for me, but I believed and myself and made it work! What sets me apart from others is that I am a warrior I down to fight for my dreams and will never give up until I feel completely accomplished.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
My supporters deserve all credit because they keep me going when I go ghost from music they coming asking me where it’s at when it’s dropping and I love that so much because they always remind me who I am and that there are people out there who fully supports me. I also thank YB for giving me the big push he did it was a great way to start off a music career while also it being my favorite artist.
