Today we’d like to introduce you to WYND.
Hi WYND, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started making music at the age of ten, just as a little hobby after school. Making dubstep and hip/hop beats for fun. It took me almost another ten years to finally realize music might be my calling. After two decades of producing and recording just being a hobby and what seemed to be such a far fetched dream. I believe I hit that “Right place, right time” and have taken the opportunity given to me and have gone all in on it.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s never a smooth road. There will always be ups and downs. The struggles of growing up and figuring out life on your own can really mess with your mental and keep you from your full potential. I like to think of all my struggles and low points in life as character building moments. It does not matter how you get knocked down, it just matters about how you get back up.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am an artist, a brand, a producer, an audio engineer at Madd Ox Studios, a film maker, a video editor, a show promoter, a DJ, and a business manager for the record label DEAD HOMIES STUDIOS(DHS). I do a little bit of everything, but I am mostly known for my music under the name of WYND.
I am most proud of my growth in music. From starting out as just a childhood dream to being able to bring that dream to real life. Not just for myself, but for the whole world to hear. Music has saved my life in many ways and being in a position where I could possibly do that same thing for someone else who needs it, is my whole goal is with this journey.
I love this question, “What sets you apart from others?”. ME. Yourself is what sets you apart from everyone. We all go through struggles, we all have issues, we all have blessings. But, what makes you different and sets you apart from the mold, is you, your mind, your soul, you are the thing that makes you unique. No one could EVER replicate or copy that.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
We all take risks everyday. Some super big and then some very small. Whether it’s facing a fear, or trying a new food, or putting this months mortgage payment on black at the casino. If you don’t take risks, you will end up living a life filled with “What ifs?”. Sometimes, you are going to lose, but then others you are going to win, and big too. We take risks all the time in music, I put deep feelings and emotions into my lyrics and songs and hope and pray that the world receives them the correct way and they don’t misinterpret my words or just flat out dislike my music. You got to risk it for the biscuit baby!! (Please do not put this months mortgage payment on black…)
