Today we’d like to introduce you to Trevione Townsend.
Hi Trevione, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Trevione Townsend, and I’m a filmmaker, content creator, and storyteller with a passion for bringing anime and superhero worlds to life through live-action adaptations. What started as a love for movies, anime, and visual storytelling grew into a mission to create content that inspires people to chase their own dreams, no matter where they come from.
Like many creators, my journey hasn’t been easy. I’ve balanced creating content while serving in the military, raising a family, and learning every aspect of filmmaking through persistence and countless hours of practice. Every project became an opportunity to improve my craft, whether it was directing, editing, visual effects, cinematography, or storytelling.
Today, I’m best known for creating Anime Force, an original live-action crossover series that brings together iconic anime universes while telling its own unique story about destiny, perseverance, and legacy. The series has allowed me to collaborate with other creators, grow an incredible community, and push the boundaries of independent filmmaking.
One of the biggest milestones in my journey was being invited to Dream Con as a content creator, where I had the opportunity to connect with supporters, fellow creators, and industry professionals. Experiences like that remind me why I started creating in the first place.
I’m also proud of the creative work I’ve done as a writer, director, producer, editor, cinematographer, and visual effects artist, continually challenging myself to make every project better than the last.
At the end of the day, my goal goes beyond making entertaining videos. I want every film I create to remind someone that their dreams are worth pursuing. If my journey encourages even one person to keep going despite the obstacles, then everything I’ve built has been worth it.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all. Like many creators, my journey has come with plenty of challenges. Balancing military service, family life, and content creation often meant sacrificing sleep, free time, and personal comfort to keep pursuing my vision. Independent filmmaking also comes with financial obstacles, limited resources, and the responsibility of wearing multiple hats—from writing and directing to filming, editing, and creating visual effects.
There were moments when growth felt slow, videos didn’t perform the way I hoped, or opportunities didn’t work out. Those moments were discouraging, but they also taught me resilience and forced me to become a better filmmaker and storyteller.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that success isn’t built overnight. Every setback has pushed me to improve my craft, stay consistent, and keep believing in the vision behind Anime Force. Looking back, those challenges weren’t roadblocks—they became the foundation for the creator I am today. They continue to remind me that perseverance, faith, and hard work are just as important as talent.

I create cinematic live-action anime and superhero films, with my biggest project being Anime Force—an original crossover series that brings together anime-inspired worlds through an original story about destiny, hope, sacrifice, and perseverance. I write, direct, produce, film, edit, and create the visual effects for the series, allowing me to be involved in nearly every part of the creative process from the first script to the final frame.
I specialize in telling stories that feel like the anime I grew up loving while adding my own original characters, lore, and emotional themes. Rather than simply recreating iconic moments, my goal is to build a universe that stands on its own and gives fans something new to experience. Every fight scene, visual effect, and character arc is designed to serve the story first.
More than anything, I’m proud of the community that has formed around Anime Force. Knowing that people take time out of their day to watch my work, support the vision, and tell me that it inspired them to chase their own dreams means more to me than any view count. Being invited to Dream Con as a content creator was an incredible reminder that this dream is becoming a reality, and I’m grateful to everyone who has believed in me along the way.
I think what sets me apart is that I genuinely love the craft and the people who support it. I’m always trying to learn, improve, and collaborate with others, and I never want to lose sight of why I started creating in the first place. My goal has never been to make content just for entertainment—it’s to create stories that inspire people to believe in themselves, take a chance on their passions, and realize that even the biggest dreams can become reality with consistency, faith, and hard work.

No one builds something like Anime Force alone, and I’m incredibly grateful for the people who have poured into me throughout this journey.
My family and friends have been a constant source of encouragement, especially during the seasons where building this vision required a lot of time, patience, and faith. Having people who believe in what you’re creating makes all the difference.
I’m especially thankful for my mentor, Johnathan Armour of Open Gate Studios, whose guidance has taught me so much about directing on set, leading a production, and becoming a better filmmaker. His mentorship has had a huge impact on the way I approach filmmaking today.
