Hidden Gems: Meet Brooklyn Marriott of SocialCues Collecive

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brooklyn Marriott.

Hi Brooklyn, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I actually started Social Cues Collective unexpectedly. I moved to Arizona for six months and was applying for marketing jobs, so I wanted something meaningful to work on in the meantime. I began helping a local business with their social media, and after seeing the impact that intentional branding, content, and strategy had on their growth, I realized this could become something much bigger!

From there, I started acquiring clients across both Arizona and Texas, and what began as a side project quickly turned into my own business, SocialCues Collective. I discovered that I genuinely love the creative side of marketing – designing in Canva, creating graphics, capturing content, editing videos, and building a social presence that feels cohesive and authentic.

It’s been incredibly rewarding to see clients grow through intentional content, and I’m excited to continue building a business that helps other businesses succeed!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Starting a business from scratch means you’re responsible for everything – finding clients, learning how to price your services, building systems, managing finances, and wearing every hat in the business. There were a lot of moments where I had to figure things out through trial and error!

As I’ve grown, I have learned that having clear processes, setting boundaries, and knowing my value to a business creates better relationships for both myself and my clients. There’s a constant learning process, especially since social media is ever-changing. But, looking back, I wouldn’t change anything I have done as it’s helped me better understand what it means to run a business and helps me serve my clients better!

We’ve been impressed with SocialCues Collecive, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
SocialCues Collective is a boutique social media marketing agency based in Texas, serving businesses across multiple states. We help businesses build a strong online presence through strategic marketing, creative storytelling, and multi-channel marketing efforts that go beyond social media. Our services range from one-time branding content shoots and website/logo creation to full-service social media management and comprehensive marketing campaign execution.

What I’m most proud of is the relationships we’ve built with our clients. I strive to be just as invested in a business as the owner is because I believe the best marketing comes from truly understanding a company’s vision, goals, and values. That level of partnership allows me to immerse myself in each brand, develop strategies that are tailored to their unique audience, and create cohesive marketing efforts across multiple channels … not just social media.

At the end of the day, I want clients to feel like they have a true marketing partner in their corner. My goal isn’t just to create content that looks good – it’s to build brands that are memorable, connect with the right audience, and support long-term business growth.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
One thing I’ve learned throughout this journey is that there is no “perfect” time to start. If I had waited until I felt completely ready, SocialCues probably wouldn’t exist today. Some of the best opportunities have come from simply taking the first step, staying curious, and being willing to learn along the way!

I’d also encourage business owners to view marketing as an investment rather than an expense. A strong brand and a thoughtful marketing strategy don’t just help you gain followers – they help build trust, create lasting relationships, and position your business for long-term growth.
