Today we’d like to introduce you to Devan Ford.
Hi Devan, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started the *Now Let’s Thrive* Podcast in October 2024 because I wanted to extend my work as a wellness and personal development coach beyond workshops and one-on-one conversations. I wanted to create a space where people could access practical tools, encouragement, and honest conversations about personal growth, wellness, resilience, relationships, and thriving in both life and work.
Before launching, I worked with a podcast coach to learn the process and build a strong foundation. From there, I launched the podcast independently and have continued to manage every aspect of it myself. Nearly two years later, it has become an extension of my mission to help people move beyond simply getting by and instead live with greater purpose, well-being, and intention. Every episode is designed to leave listeners with something they can apply to their own lives.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it definitely has not been a smooth road. I launched the podcast when my son was just six months old, so I was learning how to be both a new mother and a new podcaster at the same time. Most of my research, episode planning, recording, and editing happened late at night after he was asleep.
When I returned to my full-time career, balancing my responsibilities as a director, adjunct professor, coach, consultant, mother, and podcast host became even more challenging. There was a challenging season when I realized I couldn’t do everything at the same pace without risking burnout.
That experience taught me an important lesson about practicing what I preach. I intentionally restructured the podcast into seasons, which allows me to create high-quality content while also giving myself time to rest, reset, and focus on my family and other professional projects. I’ve learned that sustainability is more important than constant productivity, and that taking breaks doesn’t mean you’re falling behind; it helps ensure you can continue showing up with purpose and energy.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am the founder of **Now Let’s Thrive Coaching & Consulting**, where I partner with organizations, educational institutions, and nonprofit organizations to help people and workplaces thrive. My work focuses on leadership development, workplace wellness, organizational culture, and coaching. I facilitate workshops, speak at conferences and events, and consult with leaders who want to build healthier, more connected, and more effective teams.
What sets my work apart is that I combine evidence-based strategies with a genuine focus on people. I believe professional success and personal well-being go hand in hand, so my approach is both practical and compassionate.
I’m especially proud that *Now Let’s Thrive* has continued to grow over the past two years through the podcast, coaching, consulting, and speaking. Earlier this year, I also fulfilled a longtime dream by publishing my first book, *A Thousand Tiny Sunsets: Reflections on Healing & Hope*. The book is a collection of reflections that encourages readers to find hope, healing, and strength through life’s small moments.
Whether I’m coaching a leader, consulting with an organization, recording a podcast episode, or writing, my mission is the same: to help people and organizations move beyond simply surviving and create environments where they can truly thrive.
How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
There are several ways people can work with and support Now Let’s Thrive. I partner with organizations, universities, nonprofits, and businesses through keynote speaking, workshops, leadership development, strategic planning, and consulting. I also provide executive and leadership coaching for individuals looking to grow personally and professionally.
If someone is looking to collaborate, I’m always open to partnering on events, wellness initiatives, leadership programs, podcast guest opportunities, and meaningful conversations that align with the mission of helping people and organizations thrive.
One of the best ways to support my work is by listening to and sharing the Now Let’s Thrive Podcast, reading and recommending my book, A Thousand Tiny Sunsets: Reflections on Healing & Hope, and connecting with me on social media. Every share, recommendation, and conversation helps expand the impact and reach of this work.
Ultimately, my goal is simple: to help people thrive in their lives, their leadership, and their workplaces. If there’s an opportunity to partner in that mission, I’d love to connect.
