Check Out Lourdes Masson’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lourdes Masson.

Hi Lourdes , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Lourdes, and I’m the founder of Tenacious Lourdes Consulting Group, a boutique consulting firm based in Katy, Texas. I’m also a bilingual paralegal and mobile notary, and I’ve spent years helping attorneys, business owners, and individuals navigate legal, operational, and business matters. My passion is helping entrepreneurs turn great ideas into well-structured businesses with the right legal foundation, systems, and strategy to grow with confidence.

My journey wasn’t a traditional one. I grew up in the foster care system in Florida and aged out with very little support, so I had to learn how to build a life from the ground up. Those experiences taught me resilience, resourcefulness, and the importance of creating opportunities instead of waiting for them.

Life continued to shape me in unexpected ways. I’m a wife, mother of four, three-time cancer survivor, marathon runner, and dedicated gym enthusiast. Running and fitness have become more than hobbies—they’ve taught me discipline, consistency, mental resilience, and the ability to keep moving forward even when things get hard. Those lessons influence the way I coach and support my clients. I believe success in business is built the same way success is built in training: one intentional step, one consistent habit, and one commitment at a time.

Those experiences ultimately inspired me to create Tenacious Lourdes Consulting Group. I wanted to build more than a consulting business—I wanted to create a place where entrepreneurs could find clarity, guidance, and someone who genuinely understands what it feels like to build something meaningful from the ground up.

Today, I combine my experience as a business consultant, bilingual paralegal, mobile notary, and entrepreneur to help others launch and grow their businesses with confidence. Whether I’m helping a client develop a business strategy, navigate legal processes, or simply believe in themselves again, my mission remains the same: to help people move from feeling overwhelmed to having a clear plan while reminding them that their past doesn’t define their future—it can become the foundation of their greatest success.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Success has never come from having an easy path—it came from refusing to stop.

I grew up in the foster care system and aged out into adulthood without the safety net many people take for granted. I had to figure out college, finances, and how to build a stable life largely on my own. Those early years taught me resilience, resourcefulness, and the belief that your circumstances don’t have to define your future.

Life continued to test that belief. As a three-time cancer survivor, I faced some of the hardest seasons imaginable while raising four children, being a wife, and building my business. There were days when medical appointments, treatments, motherhood, and client work all competed for my attention. I learned that progress doesn’t always look big—sometimes it’s simply choosing to take the next step, even when life feels overwhelming.

Building Tenacious Lourdes from the ground up has been another journey of perseverance. Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve experienced uncertainty, slow seasons, self-doubt, and countless lessons learned through trial and error. But those experiences became my greatest teachers. They shaped the way I serve others today—with clarity, practical systems, and compassion—because I understand what it feels like to build something meaningful in the middle of chaos.

My story isn’t one of a smooth road. It’s one of foster homes, hospital rooms, late nights, school drop-offs, unwavering faith, and choosing to keep moving forward when quitting would have been easier.

That’s why Tenacious Lourdes exists. It’s proof that resilience can become your greatest strength, and it’s my mission to help others realize that no matter where they start or what they’ve overcome, they can build a life and business they’re proud of.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Tenacious Lourdes Consulting Group is my boutique consulting firm based in Katy, Texas. I work with entrepreneurs, small business owners, and professionals who have big ideas but aren’t always sure where to begin. My passion is helping them turn those ideas into structured, sustainable businesses with a clear plan and the confidence to move forward.

In addition to being a business consultant, I’m a bilingual paralegal and mobile notary with years of experience supporting attorneys and clients in legal matters. That legal and operational background allows me to approach every business with both strategy and structure, helping clients build a strong foundation from day one while avoiding common mistakes.

What I enjoy most is taking someone from saying, “I don’t know where to start,” to, “Now I know exactly what my next step is.” Together, we clarify their vision, organize the legal and operational pieces, and create systems that work for their real life—not just what looks good online.

People often tell me I’m the person who brings both strategy and encouragement. I don’t hand someone a checklist and send them on their way. I walk alongside them, helping them navigate the process with clarity, confidence, and accountability. My goal is to make entrepreneurship feel less overwhelming and more achievable—because with the right support, big dreams become real businesses.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I don’t consider myself a reckless risk-taker, but I do believe growth requires courage. Throughout my life, I’ve learned that some of the greatest opportunities come from taking thoughtful, faith-filled risks.

One of the biggest risks I took was starting Tenacious Lourdes Consulting Group. I launched my business while raising four children, working as a bilingual paralegal and mobile notary, and after surviving cancer three times. Building a brand around my own name and sharing my personal story publicly felt vulnerable, but I knew it could inspire and help others.

Growing up in the foster care system also taught me that waiting for the “perfect” moment isn’t always an option. Every major decision—from pursuing an education to building a career—required faith and determination.

Today, I don’t make decisions based on fear. I ask myself if the opportunity aligns with my values, serves my family, and allows me to make a meaningful impact. If the answer is yes, I’m willing to take the risk because I’ve learned that real growth happens just outside your comfort zone.
