Life & Work with Brittanny Gormer of Houston

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittanny Gormer.

Hi Brittanny, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I didn’t start social media as a hobby—I started it with a purpose. As a single mother of four boys, including one son with autism, I was looking for a flexible way to create another source of income while being present for my family.

I saw content creation as an opportunity to build lasting relationships with brands and create authentic content that connects with people. That’s how Ms. Texas was born—a brand centered around Texas culture, beauty, lifestyle, and family.

Today, what began as a way to support my children has grown into a business I’m incredibly proud of. Every brand partnership represents more than a collaboration—it’s another step toward building a better future for my family and inspiring other women, especially single mothers, to pursue opportunities that can change their lives.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I had to learn everything from content creation and building brand relationships to treating my platform like a business. Balancing motherhood, deadlines, and growing my brand has been my biggest challenge.

The journey has taught me resilience, consistency, and the importance of staying authentic. Every challenge has helped me grow as a creator, business owner, and mother.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I specialize in creating authentic lifestyle, beauty, family, and Texas-inspired content that helps brands connect with real people. Through Ms. Texas, I’ve built a platform centered around storytelling, community, and showcasing products in a way that feels genuine and relatable.

I’m most proud of turning my passion for content creation into a business while balancing life as a single mother. What sets me apart is my authenticity—I don’t just promote products, I create meaningful connections by sharing real experiences and building trust with my audience.

My goal is to continue growing the Ms. Texas brand while representing brands that align with my values and inspiring other women to pursue their dreams.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?

One of my favorite childhood memories is the simple moments spent with my family—creating memories, laughing together, and enjoying the little things that made life special. Those moments taught me the importance of family, connection, and appreciating the journey.

Looking back, those experiences shaped who I am today and are a big reason why I value creating memories with my own children. Family has always been at the center of my life, and I carry those lessons with me in everything I do.
