Today we’d like to introduce you to Renee Jordan.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Renee. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I was born & raised in Milwaukee Wisconsin before moving to Houston to attend school. I am proud to call Houston home for the past 8 years. I have always had a genuine passion for business and would hope to one day become a “serial entrepreneur”. My first passion had always been for fashion, creativity, and design but I also wanted to gain corporate experience. I wanted to gain experience in the corporate world first but also do something I loved – real estate.
While working towards my Bachelor’s degree in Finance, I studied real estate and soon obtained my Real Estate license. I have always had a passion for real estate and I knew that if I wanted to open other doors I needed to focus on one first. As the daughter of a successful real estate professional, I not only inherited exposure to real estate but also developed keen skills stemming from her sincere interest, knowledge, and experience in the industry. My passion for real estate began when I would help my father with rental property management in our hometown.
After graduating from Texas Southern University with a BA in Finance, I gained hands-on experience in the field I loved. I developed a strong knowledge of real estate law, property appraisal, and Houston real estate market trends. I became an expert in various Houston neighborhoods to remain abreast of market changes to better serve clients. I gained over 7 years of diverse experience in financial, operations and client relationship management as well as business development across the hospitality, real estate, and finance industries.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
One of my biggest hurdles has been finding the time and resources to fund the multiple businesses I want to start. I think that other aspiring entrepreneurs can relate to that. We have so many ideas and we want to start them all but we must become an expert in one first. I am grateful for the corporate skills I have obtained over the years and genuinely loving real estate. The tools I have gained in real estate have been so valuable and I will be able to apply those skills in my other ventures. I still have a long road to go but I am eager to learn new things.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up I was always looking for the next thrill or adventure. I was independent and outspoken. Even at a young age, I knew that I would not be satisfied with pursuing just one dream because I wanted to pursue all the things I loved. As I grew older, I began to understand the importance of setting deadlines for goals and hitting milestones.
My parents were entrepreneurs themselves and I remember being so in awe at what they created. I remember going with them to the office or different events and even though I was young, I was so proud of what they created. I attained a lot my work ethic and creativity watching my parents start their own business from the ground up. I want to continue to pursue my dreams and make them proud.
