Daily Inspiration: Meet Melanie Rose

Today we’d like to introduce you to Melanie Rose.

Hi Melanie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My love for music started before I could even talk! Although I’d always been quite shy, I sang every day, and put on little concerts for my family as a young child. I sang in choir at school and recorded covers with my guitar from home. Music was my outlet when I struggled with my emotions and it was the only thing I stayed passionate about throughout my whole life. After graduating high school, I started to frequent karaoke nights at different bars with my friends, until one specific karaoke night in 2025 changed my life, and I met my amazing team, who were also just randomly there to have fun. From that day forward, I started my journey making music professionally and it’s been the most fulfilling thing I’ve ever done.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I wouldn’t say it’s been easy. I think people in the music industry can agree that it’s never a smooth road. It takes a lot of hard work, commitment, sacrifice, and patience to succeed in this line of work but it has been equally rewarding. I’m learning a lot about myself, I’m gaining confidence I never had before, and I get to do what I love and in the end it is more than worth it.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a singer/songwriter and recording artist based out of Houston, Texas! I make rnb/pop music and am currently finishing working on my first album. At the moment, I have 3 singles out, with the first one being Venom. The second one is called Top 5 and the my newest single is called Damage. I pride myself on being a person of community. I’m also proud to be a queer artist. I want to make art that resonates with people who might feel isolated or alone. I want to be that outlet for people who just want to feel heard or validated.

What’s next?
I’m so excited for everything that’s to come in the future whether it be future albums, future music videos, and future shows. I can’t wait to share more of my story as more music begins to release. I have a couple festivals coming up as well and you can find more information on future shows and festivals on my instagram @_official_melanierose! I’m also hoping a tour is in the cards for me in the near future!
