Life & Work with Nick Simone of Las Vegas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nick Simone.

Hi Nick, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Nickolas Anthony Simone
Born October 26, 1995 in Salt Lake City Utah.

Moved to suburban Atlanta, Georgia when I was a baby until 2016 when I was 20, I grew up learning piano from a lady at my church when I was around 9 or 10 years old. and guitar when I was in my teens from a family friend

I got my music taste from both of my parents
My mom showed me lots of 90s grunge, r&b, pop, euro dance,

My dad showed me lots of post punk and new wave music like Peter Murphy, new order, Depeche Mode. The cure, morrissey & the smiths

then I moved to Utah and spent the last 10 years in Salt Lake City / Orem, Utah.

In my late teens / early twenties I was partying and didn’t play much music but around the time i was 21 in 2016 I started relearning a lot through YouTube tutorials and lessons, on top of relentless practice

From 2021-Present I have been DIY touring my music around many states including, Texas, California, Utah, Nevada, Washington State, Hawaii, Georgia

I just moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2026
I am currently playing shows locally as well as touring, I just played San Diego for the first time in August 2026.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has been anything but smooth. The first 20 years of my life were me telling myself out of fear that I can’t make music, I can only play mediocre covers. But despite my fears and doubts I picked up and started noodling on the guitar anyway and learning chords, keys, scales, harmonies, made a skill out of something fun that I love.

Through enduring years of being abused, ridiculed, mocked, betrayed, excluded, alienated, I grew stronger.

And realized if I can go through all of that and still be standing; I can do anything: and that’s how I gained power from the hard times.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a musician first and foremost, but also my own visual art designer, model, director, comedian, entertainer, businessman etc.

I have been playing piano for almost 20 years and guitar for 14 years since 2012

99% of my work has been done on a DIY home recording studio. Most of my musical catalog was done layering loops, pads, guitar riffs, and electronic drums & then having my tracks being mixed and mastered by a sound engineer/ producer

I just released my first track ever recorded in 100% in a professional music studio. Instead of my previous work being based on a lot of spontaneous riffs I would come up with over time, this new track “Victory to the People” released July 4, 2026 was completely written by myself and an acoustic guitar and the entire song was written before it was recorded in full. It was recorded at Vibehaus Studios, in Salt Lake City, Utah. mixed and mastered by the legendary David Devaney who has worked alongside some of the biggest artists in music such as Post Malone, and Snoop Dogg. He also helped produced Utah’s breakout artists Neon Trees & Imagine Dragons.

I know I’m different from everyone else. I am one of the best because the talent, hours, imagination I put in my craft have paid off to create true works of art that are one of a kind, but also whisper my lived experience into every note that I play where you can feel what I feel, I work to create music that is timeless and one of a kind, there’s only one me, and for the first time in my life I feel like I am Nickolas F*ckin Simone & I know who I am

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Showmanship is an incredible characteristic to have, you must have this if you wish to be remembered among the sea of this industry . There are plenty of bands who put out material, but their entire fanbase is drawn to their live shows. It’s where all the money is nowadays with streaming
