Today we’d like to introduce you to Breanna Johnson.
Hi Breanna, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I , Breanna Johnson , was just a little country girl from Little Rock, Arkansas with a big dream that God himself blessed me with. I knew my life was going to be surrounded in the world of beauty. I turned 25 and told myself that it was time to do what I knew was waiting for me. Move to Houston ,Texas & that’s exactly what I did in August 2019. Stepping out on faith was just the beginning of a promising career.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I can honestly say it has been pretty smooth for the most part. Of course , life throws you hurtles that you have to cross but I wouldn’t be where I am without them. Having to stop working completely because of covid with 0 income was the ultimate test of my faith. Was I going to get a job or wait this thing out and start from scratch again! Wait it out is what I did. I returned to work with clients waiting for little ole me. That’s when I knew it was meant for me to restart my career here in Houston , Texas.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m most proud of customer service! I moved here in 2019 & I have clients to this day that started their healthy hair journey with me. I can’t express how much I appreciate the love I receive from my clients and they too can feel the love back the second they step into my suite. I specialize in natural hair, braids, weaves & coloring. I have a passion for hair all the way around so healthy hair is always the goal.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Mentoring is what makes whatever career you’re in a little easy to maneuver through. In the beauty industry its constantly changing with new trends always on the rise, so having a mentor to guide you through and give you advice to adapt to every change is well recommended. When the passion is there nothing can stand in the way of what you wanna do in this life!
