Rising Stars: Meet Saint Garvey of National

Today we’d like to introduce you to Saint Garvey.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m a 19-year-old content creator and Business Management student based in South Africa. My journey into media began at a young age as a simple hobby, but with the constant encouragement of friends and family who believed in my potential, I soon realized it was a genuine talent.
Today, I work as a brand content manager and specialized event content creator. Unlike traditional photographers and videographers who focus on cinematic edits that take weeks to finalize, my role is to capture the raw, unfiltered moments that truly define an event’s unique atmosphere. Whether I am covering wedding behind-the-scenes footage, brand activations, or prom events, my goal is to deliver authentic memories that put smiles on people’s faces—all with a quick 24-hour turnaround time.
Social media platforms like TikTok have played a massive role in growing my brand. By consistently sharing my projects on my pages under @Saint films BTS, I was able to connect with audiences who resonated with my style. That organic visibility is ultimately what caught the attention of brands and individuals, leading to exciting collaborations and bookings for BTS shoots.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It certainly hasn’t been a entirely smooth road, as balancing a growing creative career with formal education comes with its own unique set of challenges. Managing my time between studying for a Business Management qualification, fulfilling my responsibilities as a brand content manager, and meeting strict 24-hour turnaround times for event behind-the-scenes shoots requires intense discipline.
In the beginning, navigating the fast-paced nature of event content creation while trying to build credibility from scratch meant learning how to juggle multiple deadlines, manage client expectations, and build my presence online all at once. However, every hurdle has taught me valuable lessons in organization and resilience, shaping the way I run my business today and pushing me to work even harder for my goals.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As a brand content manager and specialized event content creator, I specialize in capturing the raw, authentic behind-the-scenes moments that traditional photographers and videographers often miss. Whether I am working on weddings, brand activations, or prom events, my focus is on preserving the genuine emotion and atmosphere of the day rather than posing people for cinematic shots.
What I am most proud of is my rapid turnaround time—delivering polished, ready-to-share memories within 24 hours while people are still reliving the excitement—alongside my ability to grow my presence organically under @Saint films BTS. What sets me apart is this combination of real-time speed, a focus on raw storytelling, and blending my creative eye with formal Business Management studies to run everything with true entrepreneurial discipline.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
To do my best in both my creative work and my Business Management studies, I rely heavily on platforms like TikTok and social media tools to manage my online presence under @Saint films BTS, track trends, and connect with clients. For my day-to-day productivity, organization, and running content operations efficiently, mobile apps and digital planning tools are essential for keeping track of tight 24-hour turnaround schedules and balancing my studies seamlessly.
