Today we’d like to introduce you to Alex’Zandria Martin.
Alex’Zandria, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My story has always been rooted in people, purpose, and community. I’m a wife, a mom, a leader, and someone whose faith has been the foundation of every season of my life. While my career has allowed me to grow into leadership roles, what truly drives me is creating spaces where people feel seen, encouraged, and connected.
Like many moms, I’ve experienced the beauty and challenges of balancing family, work, and personal growth. That journey inspired me to build community with other women, (especially moms)., who are looking for genuine connection, encouragement, and a place to simply do life together. I believe we’re stronger when we support one another, celebrate each other’s wins, and remind each other that we don’t have to navigate life alone.
Professionally, I’ve had the privilege of leading incredible teams and creating experiences for families and children, but my passion extends beyond the workplace. Whether I’m planning community events, mentoring others, or hosting my weekly bible study, my goal is always to bring people together in meaningful ways.
My faith influences everything I do. It shapes how I lead, how I serve, and how I love people. I strive to live with purpose, extend grace, and create environments where others feel welcomed and empowered to become the best version of themselves.
Today, I’m continuing to build a life centered around faith, family, leadership, and community. My hope is that the spaces I create; whether for moms, families, or the people I lead every day, leave others feeling inspired, supported, and reminded that they belong.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Without a doubt, one of the hardest seasons of my life was after becoming a mom. I think so many people prepare you for pregnancy and childbirth, but not enough people talk about what happens afterward… when you’re trying to figure out who you are on the other side of motherhood.
I went through a season where I truly felt like I had lost my identity. I loved being a mom, but I also found myself wondering, “Who am I now?” I had to grieve the version of myself I once knew while learning to embrace the woman God was shaping me into. It wasn’t an overnight process. It required a lot of prayer, healing, self-reflection, and giving myself permission to grow into a new version of myself instead of trying to become who I used to be. Knowing that this is the only version of me, that my children know, has encouraged me on the harder days. Looking back, I realize that season wasn’t just about reinventing myself.. it was about discovering who I really was. My faith became my anchor, reminding me that my identity wasn’t found in a title, a career, or even motherhood, but in who God says I am. That experience alone changed the way I show up for other women, especially moms. It gave me a deeper compassion for the silent struggles so many women carry and fueled my desire to build community where women can be honest, feel supported, and know they’re not walking through life’s transitions alone. While I wouldn’t choose that season again, I’m grateful for what it produced in me because it shaped the woman and leader I am today. Knowing that this is the only version of me that my children know, encourages me on my harder days.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
At my core, I’m a community builder. Professionally, I lead teams, create exceptional experiences for families, and develop people into confident leaders. I genuinely believe that leadership isn’t about a title, it’s about serving others well, helping people discover their strengths, and creating a culture where everyone feels valued and empowered.
Outside of my career, I’m the founder of Cool Moms Club, (@cypcoolmoms) a community created to bring moms together through authentic connection, encouragement, and shared experiences. Motherhood can often feel isolating, and my goal is to remind women that they don’t have to navigate it alone. I want women to know they have a place to belong.
One of the ways I live that out is by leading a weekly Bible study where women gather to grow in their faith, encourage one another, and have honest conversations about life. It’s become a space where women can be vulnerable, build lasting friendships, and be reminded of who they are in Christ. Watching women grow spiritually and gain confidence in their identity has been one of the greatest joys of my journey.
My faith isn’t something I separate from my work or community, t’s the foundation of how I lead, serve, and love people. Whether someone knows me through my career, Cool Moms, Bible study, or everyday life, my hope is that they leave feeling seen, encouraged, and inspired.
What I’m most proud of isn’t a specific title or accomplishment, it’s the lives I’ve had the privilege to impact, and the little family I’ve created. Watching my daughters take their first steps, seeing moms build genuine friendships, to witnessing women deepen their relationship with God and discover their purpose are the moments that mean the most to me.
I believe what sets me apart is that I don’t just want to build successful events or programs; I want to build people. I lead with authenticity, compassion, and purpose, always striving to create spaces where families thrive, women are empowered, faith is strengthened, and community flourishes. My hope is to always leave people, better than I’ve found them. If someone leaves an interaction with me feeling more hopeful, more confident, and more connected than before, then I know I’ve accomplished what God has called me to do.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
There are several resources that have helped me continue growing both personally and professionally. For me, social media can be a powerful tool when used intentionally. I love Instagram, Pinterest and an occasional Tik Tok scroll, because they provide inspiration, creativity, and opportunities to connect with communities of like-minded people. I especially enjoy using them to find ideas, create experiences, and stay inspired in the work I do with families, moms, and community building.
Podcasts have also been a meaningful part of my growth journey. I enjoy listening to conversations that challenge me in my faith, leadership and of course entertainment… Change Church with Pastor Dharius Daniels, as well as Baby this is Keke Palmer. I love a good balance, because I am a woman who loves to laugh.
