Conversations with Ciara Green

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ciara Green.

Hi Ciara, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
The Rising Remnants was born from a burden God placed on my heart to create a place where young adults could grow deeper in their relationship with Christ while building genuine, Christ-centered community. I saw that many people wanted more than just attending church on Sundays—they were looking for a safe space to ask questions, be encouraged, be held accountable, and pursue God together.

What started as a small Bible study has grown into a thriving community of young adults from different churches and backgrounds who gather weekly to worship, study God’s Word, pray, and support one another. Our mission is simple: to help people become true disciples of Jesus Christ and to remind them that no matter their past or current struggles, God still has a purpose for their lives.

Along the way, God has opened doors far beyond weekly Bible studies. We’ve hosted worship nights, community service projects, fellowship events, outreach initiatives, and opportunities for people to use their gifts to serve others. Every step of the journey has been a testimony of God’s faithfulness and His ability to grow something that began with a simple “yes.”

Today, The Rising Remnants continues to be a movement focused on raising up believers who are unashamed of the Gospel, committed to living holy lives, and passionate about making disciples. We believe God is still writing our story, and we’re excited to see where He leads us next.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges has been balancing the responsibility of leading a growing ministry while also managing work, school, and everyday life. There have been moments of discouragement, times when attendance was lower than expected, last-minute event changes, financial limitations, and the pressure that can come with leading people.

Another challenge has been learning how to lead well. As The Rising Remnants has grown, I’ve had to develop in areas like communication, organization, conflict resolution, and trusting others with responsibility instead of trying to do everything myself. Leadership has taught me that ministry isn’t just about planning events—it’s about serving people with patience, grace, and consistency.

Despite the challenges, every obstacle has strengthened my faith. I’ve learned to depend on God more than my own abilities and to trust that if He gave the vision, He will provide everything needed to accomplish it. Looking back, I can honestly say that every challenge has played a part in shaping both me and The Rising Remnants into what we are today.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am the founder of The Rising Remnants, a young adult Christian ministry dedicated to helping people grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ through biblical teaching, authentic community, discipleship, and service. While we gather weekly for Bible study, our mission extends far beyond one night a week. We strive to create opportunities for people to worship together, serve the community, build meaningful relationships, and discover the purpose God has for their lives.

One of the things we’re known for is creating a welcoming environment where people from different churches, backgrounds, and walks of life can come together without judgment. We believe everyone has a place at the table. Whether someone is new to the faith or has walked with Christ for years, our goal is to help them take the next step in their spiritual journey.

What I’m most proud of isn’t the growth in numbers—it’s the transformation in people’s lives. Seeing individuals deepen their faith, overcome personal struggles, step into leadership, build lasting friendships, and boldly live for Christ has been the greatest reward. Knowing that God is using The Rising Remnants to impact lives is something I never take for granted.

What sets us apart is our heart for people. We don’t just host Bible studies—we intentionally build community. We believe ministry happens both inside and outside the church walls through fellowship, outreach, accountability, worship, and genuine relationships. Our desire is to raise up a generation that doesn’t simply attend church but lives out the Gospel every day.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
There are many ways people can partner with The Rising Remnants. We welcome collaborations with churches, ministries, nonprofits, businesses, and individuals who share a heart for reaching and discipling the next generation. Whether it’s co-hosting community outreach events, worship nights, conferences, service projects, or other initiatives, we’re always excited to work alongside others to make a greater impact for the Kingdom.

People can also support our mission by volunteering at events, serving with our ministry, praying for our leadership and members, or contributing resources that help us continue creating meaningful opportunities for young adults to grow in their faith and serve their communities.

Above all, we believe collaboration is about advancing God’s Kingdom together—not building individual platforms. If our mission resonates with you and you’d like to partner with us, we’d love to connect and explore how we can serve our community together for the glory of God.
