Ava’s Air Conditioning and Heating LLC was founded five years ago with a mission to keep families comfortable, but its true heart lies in its name—a tribute to the my three daughters: Alexa, Valentina, and Aaliyah. As a family-owned HVAC business, we bring that same care, loyalty, and dedication to every home we serve. We couple dependable heating and cooling solutions with a personal touch you can trust.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Operating as a women-owned business in the HVAC industry brings unique, systemic hurdles, as trade industries remain heavily male-dominated. Customers and suppliers frequently assume a woman is in an administrative role rather than technical leadership. We often have to prove our expertise and technical knowledge twice as hard to earn the initial trust that male peers receive automatically.

My company represents family legacy, future-building, and a level of personal accountability that large, corporate HVAC chains simply cannot replicate. We bring a unique approach to home service, prioritizing transparent communication, attention to detail, and a high standard of respect for a customer’s property. Many homeowners—especially women, families, and seniors—feel an immediate sense of safety, comfort, and trust when hiring a women-led home services company. We strive to provide the best integrity possible.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Starting Ava’s Air Conditioning and Heating LLC and building it over the last five years required stepping out of my comfort zone and embracing significant vulnerability. In a male-dominated trade, every milestone represents a calculated risk that I successfully navigated to build a legacy for my Ava’s. As we grew, I took on the risk of bringing on technicians and staff. Entrusting my brand’s reputation and success. Ironically, while you built a business to create a legacy, the early years demanded immense personal sacrifice. Taking late-night emergency calls, working weekends during peak summer and winter rushes, and carrying the 24/7 mental load of business ownership means risking precious family time. You have to learn to manage both.
