Hidden Gems: Meet Kailee Ingram of Luken Digital

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kailee Ingram.

Hi Kailee, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
This year marks my 15th year in business. I started in 2011, shortly after having our daughter, Mackenna, under the name KISI Kreations Graphic Design. My husband was just launching his career in I.T., and I needed to find a way to stay home with our kids while still contributing financially. My mother, Shelly Cochran, had built her career in marketing and PR, and she took me under her wing, giving me my first opportunities working with her clients. A logo here, a brochure there, invitations, then someone asked for a website, and I was hooked. I’d found my passion.

Not long after, our son Luke was born, and I was living my dream: building a career and a foundation of skills while staying home with my children. Over the next five years, our kids came with me to nearly every consult. I built relationships with clients who became family, learned web development, digital marketing, and design through online classes and YouTube tutorials, and formed vendor relationships I still rely on today. Once my youngest started school full-time, things really started to take off.

A few years later, I rebranded to Luken Digital – Luke + Mackenna. Fittingly, “Luken” means “Bringer of Light.” Our logo features a light bulb with four rays, representing our family of four, and our tagline is “Bringing Light to Your Digital Needs.” Today, we’re a woman-led agency serving businesses across the U.S. in industries from hospitality to healthcare to education and service based businesses. We’re proud of the team we’ve built, developers, designers, SEO specialists, and social media marketers, and 2026 is shaping up to be one of our biggest years yet, as we expand our service line and continue building toward being a true one-source marketing partner for our clients.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Of course it hasn’t been smooth, I don’t think any entrepreneur’s road is. It’s a roller coaster: the high of landing that first big client, then an even bigger one, followed by the sting of losing a client or navigating a difficult one. Self-doubt and imposter syndrome show up too, sometimes when you least expect them.

For me, all of that has played out while also being a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a aunt, a friend – showing up for my family and everyone I love while building a business. Learning to navigate those feelings, and still navigating them today, has been just as much a part of this journey as anything I’ve built professionally.

As you know, we’re big fans of Luken Digital. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Luken Digital is a woman-led, family-owned digital marketing agency based in Conroe, Texas. We’re a true one-source marketing partner, we handle SEO strategy, content, web design and development, social media, paid advertising, and reporting for clients across a wide range of industries, including hospitality, healthcare, home services, education, and industrial sectors.

Most of our relationships are ongoing partnerships, we act as an embedded marketing team for our clients rather than a project-based vendor, but we also build websites and take on one-off projects for businesses that need a specific deliverable.

What sets us apart is that we genuinely become part of our clients’ teams. We don’t believe in cookie-cutter strategies; every plan is built around the client’s actual goals, market, and voice. We’ve built a reputation for deep SEO expertise, especially in building content architecture that helps businesses show up not just in traditional search, but increasingly in AI-driven search and recommendations, which is where the industry is heading.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of our name and what it represents. Luken Digital, “Bringing Light to Your Digital Needs”, reflects how we approach every client relationship: with clarity, warmth, and genuine care, not just deliverables.

I want readers to know that behind every strategy and report is a real team that cares deeply about our clients’ success, many of whom have become family over the years. We’re not just executing marketing tactics; we’re invested in helping small, mid-sized, and large businesses grow and thrive.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Give yourself grace. When I started, I had a business degree and no formal marketing background. I learned by doing, watching YouTube tutorials at night, and leaning on my mom’s guidance growing up. You don’t need it all figured out before you begin.

Relationships matter more than anything. Some of my best clients and vendor partners today are people I met in my first few years in business. Treat people well, do good work, and stay in touch.

I also wish I’d known that imposter syndrome doesn’t fully go away, you just get better at working alongside it. Even now, 15 years in, there are still moments of self-doubt.

Build a business that fits your life, not the other way around. I started this to be present for my family, and every decision since has been in service of that.
