Meet De Anna Jefferson of Empac Health Management Services LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to De Anna Jefferson.

Hi De Anna, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’m originally from Lake Charles, Louisiana, and my career began with a genuine passion for helping others. That passion led me to earn my B.S. in Rehabilitation Services from Southern University A&M College and later my MBA from the University of Phoenix. As I entered the healthcare field, I discovered a strong calling for credentialing, billing, collections, and revenue cycle management — work that allowed me to combine service, structure, and accuracy.
Over the past 22 years, that calling has grown into a career supporting providers across Houston and several states, helping them strengthen operations and maximize ROI. Today, I continue that mission while serving as Vice President on the Board of Directors for Empac Nation, where I’m committed to empowering communities and expanding opportunities.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Building my business hasn’t been without challenges. Over the past 5 years, I’ve seen clients come and go, some unable to sustain their practices and others forced to close due to shifts in the economy. Those experiences taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of guiding providers toward long‑term stability. Despite the ups and downs, I’ve continued serving organizations across Houston and several states, helping them strengthen operations and maximize RO

As you know, we’re big fans of Empac Health Management Services LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
y business is built on a simple but powerful mission: to help healthcare providers operate with accuracy, compliance, and financial strength. I specialize in credentialing, billing, collections, and full revenue cycle management — the core areas that determine whether a practice thrives or struggles. After more than 22 years in this industry, I’ve become known for delivering clean, compliant processes and helping providers recover revenue they didn’t even realize they were losing.

What sets my brand apart is the level of care and partnership I bring to every client. I don’t just process paperwork — I help providers understand their business, protect their operations, and position themselves for long‑term stability. I’ve worked with clients across Houston and multiple states, and through those experiences I’ve seen the real challenges practices face. Some clients come and go, some struggle to sustain their business, and others have closed due to shifts in the economy. Those moments taught me resilience and reinforced why strong administrative systems matter.

Brand‑wise, I’m most proud of the trust I’ve built. Providers know that when they work with me, they’re getting accuracy, transparency, and a partner who genuinely wants to see them succeed. My offerings are designed to support practices at every stage — from credentialing and enrollment to billing audits, collections, and revenue cycle optimization.

What I want readers to know is this: my brand stands for integrity, expertise, and results. Whether a provider is just starting out or trying to stabilize their operations, I’m committed to helping them reach their full potential and increase their ROI with confidence.

What makes you happy?
What Makes Me Happy – Personal Perspective
On a personal level, I’m happiest when I’m able to help others grow. Whether it’s encouraging someone, sharing knowledge, or simply being a positive presence, I find joy in uplifting people. Connecting with new individuals, building relationships, and seeing those connections turn into meaningful partnerships brings me genuine fulfillment. Giving back through community work — especially through Empac Nation — also makes me happy because it allows me to contribute to something bigger than myself.

What Makes Me Happy – Professional Perspective
Professionally, I’m happiest when I see providers succeed. There’s a deep satisfaction in watching a practice stabilize, grow, or recover revenue because the right systems were finally put in place. Clean credentialing, accurate billing, and a strong revenue cycle can completely transform a business, and knowing I played a part in that transformation is incredibly rewarding.

Even with the challenges — clients coming and going, practices struggling to sustain themselves, and some closing due to economic shifts — helping providers navigate those moments and find clarity is what keeps me passionate. Seeing a client regain confidence in their operations or reach their financial goals is the kind of success that makes my work meaningful.
