Today we’d like to introduce you to Nyeusi Fae.
Hi Nyeusi, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hi, my name is Nyeusi Lé Fae (I won’t ever tell y’all my real name), and I’ve honestly been into astrology since I was a little kid. I’m currently 24 years old, and I was born and briefly raised in New Jersey before moving down South to North Carolina when I was 8 years old. I’m African American (and proud), but I go by an African name. Nyeusi means “black” in the African language Swahili, so I’m just Afrocentric like that!
Like I just mentioned, I’ve been interested in astrology since I was 8 years old and in elementary school. However, my interest in witchcraft, mysticism, and astrology grew much stronger when I was in high school in 2018, when I was 17 years old. I remember being on the bus one day and coming across a tarot video by the YouTuber Stargirl the Practical Witch, who now goes by Anita Serene. Anita posted a YouTube video about astrology and your Big Three, which prompted me to look up and research my own Big Three and eventually the rest of my astrological chart.
When I was in elementary school, I was also a huge fan of Greek mythology. I knew about all the Greek gods and goddesses, but at the time, I was simply fascinated by the mythology and didn’t practice or engage with it spiritually.
Years later, when I was in high school in 2018, I remember my older cousin visiting me from New Jersey to see me and my family in North Carolina. He said, “Greek mythology is cool, but do you know who Oshun is?” And that started a whole new line of research for me. It opened up an entirely new world and eventually led me to Ifá.
Fast-forward to today: Since I’m African American and not a continental African, I decided to get into Hoodoo, specifically Alabama Hoodoo, because I do have Alabama roots in my family. As for my Instagram and social media accounts, I decided to start creating spiritual content online back in 2019. I deleted my old posts from my previous account, started an entirely new account, and began posting content related to astrology, witchcraft, and mysticism.
I decided to call myself a witch rather than focus heavily on religion as a whole. As of 2026, I practice Ifá and Hoodoo. I’m also working on posting content on other social media platforms, such as TikTok, Twitter, and Threads. I’m currently working on establishing permanent services when it comes to spiritual and astrology readings as well.
I’m also working on music and building my music career, so stay tuned for that!
As a kid, I never really felt called to religion, so here I am! I’ve been creating and sharing my content ever since, and I’m excited to see where this journey takes me.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Some struggles along the way were definitely within myself, especially knowing that I’m not a Christian or really interested in Christianity, particularly because I was raised in a Christian family. Some of my family members approve, while others don’t, but it is what it is.
One of my other obstacles was figuring out which spiritual practice I should pursue. Being African American while also having an interest in traditional African traditions caused me to struggle with my identity and where I fit spiritually. That’s one of the reasons I started practicing Hoodoo, as a way to help balance that part of my identity.
My personal life has also been a struggle at times, especially when it comes to finding the time to create content. I’m always working, and I’m working even harder at my job now, so finding the time and energy to consistently make content can definitely be challenging.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a very small creator right now, but I want to become big in everything I pursue, whether that’s music, astrology, witchcraft, or spell work. Right now, I specialize in astrology, astrological birth chart readings, and explaining how certain transits will affect someone’s zodiac sign.
I’m known for combining my witchy, Afrocentric aesthetic with the music I’m currently into while simply being authentically myself within this esoteric space. What sets me apart is that I embody everything African, African American, witchy, foxy, divine, lustful, and everything in between.
How do you think about luck?
Nobody from my real job has discovered me online yet. I guess the bad luck would be if someone from work knew who I was online, because I work for a Christian company. Or maybe not—they probably wouldn’t care.
