Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I am originally from Ukraine, and my story has always been about building something from the ground up. I have been without my parents since I was ten years old, so independence was never a choice I made later in life—it became part of me very early. I learned that no one else could build my future for me. Life made me resilient, while ambition taught me to keep moving forward, even when the path was uncertain.
I earned a master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University, specializing in highways and aerodromes. Although my career eventually took a different direction, that education shaped the way I think. I approach challenges as systems: I study the structure, identify the weak points, and find a practical solution that can be repeated and improved.
Sports also played an important role in developing my character. I competed as a goalkeeper and won a university soccer championship. Later, I completed several marathons and, in 2019, finished IRONMAN 70.3 Turkey in Belek. Endurance sports taught me that meaningful results rarely come from one heroic effort. They come from discipline, preparation, consistency, and the ability to keep going when things become uncomfortable.
For approximately ten years before Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, I worked in apparel manufacturing and the fashion industry. I founded and developed the Manzora and A.Gloss brands and led the Mirella Moda brand. Our collections were presented at professional exhibitions in Ukraine and internationally, including events in Toronto and Kazakhstan. I received multiple industry awards, including five recognitions for best collection presentation. My work was also covered by Ukrainian fashion media, and in 2025, I was invited to serve as a jury member at Fashion Globus Ukraine.
That chapter of my life taught me how to develop products, build brands, manage teams, maintain quality, and earn long-term trust from clients and business partners. More importantly, it taught me that a successful company must have values behind it. I have always believed in respecting tradition and craftsmanship while continuously improving the way things are designed, produced, and delivered.
When I arrived in the United States, like many immigrants, I had to find my place and rebuild my professional life. I encountered the TV installation industry almost by accident while looking for work. At first glance, it may seem like a field that receives little attention. But I quickly realized how much engineering, precision, safety, design awareness, and human interaction are involved in doing this work properly.
A television is rarely just another object on a wall. It is often located in the place where a family gathers, watches movies, celebrates, relaxes, and spends time together. The quality and safety of the installation directly affect that environment. That understanding changed the way I looked at the industry.
I began applying my engineering mindset, business experience, and high personal standards to every project. What started as a one-person operation grew into TVPro Handy Services, a team of 44 people within our first year of expansion. Today, we provide services across six states and ten U.S. cities. Our team has completed more than 10,000 installations and earned over 1,600 five-star Google reviews.
Growth itself, however, is not what makes me most proud. I personally train our technicians and teach them that technical ability is only part of the job. They must understand structural safety, respect the client’s home, communicate clearly, remain accountable for the result, and complete every installation as if they were working in their own home. My goal is not simply to build a larger company. It is to help raise professional and customer-service standards throughout this industry in the United States.
Working with people gives me energy. I am driven by the opportunity to solve problems, make people’s lives easier, and turn an ordinary service into an experience built on safety, respect, and trust. I hold myself and my business to demanding standards because I believe responsibility begins with the owner.
I am deeply grateful to the people close to me who have supported me throughout this journey. I am also grateful to America for the opportunities it creates for people who are prepared to work hard, learn, and take responsibility for their future. We still have ambitious plans ahead of us, and I see everything we have built so far not as a final destination, but as the foundation for a much larger contribution.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My road has never been smooth. I came from competitive sports, earned a government-funded place at university, and worked as a waiter, security guard, and assistant before becoming a manager and eventually a business owner in Ukraine.
Leaving Ukraine meant starting over. My hometown is only about 30 miles from the Russian border, and the war changed the direction of my life. I worked as a waiter in Spain, packed printed materials in the Netherlands, and later worked as a delivery driver and goalkeeper coach in the United States.
Eventually, I became a TV installation technician and quickly advanced to a senior position. After gaining hands-on experience and understanding the industry, I started TVPro. This journey taught me that previous success does not exempt you from starting over—and that every honest job can become another step toward something greater.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
TVPro Handy Services is a rapidly growing home-technology installation company currently serving customers across six states and ten U.S. cities. Our 44-person team specializes in TV mounting, hidden wiring, Frame TV installations, home theater and audio systems, and technically complex projects involving fireplaces, stone, brick, tile, concrete, and metal studs.
What sets us apart is the combination of engineering, design, and customer service. We do not simply attach a television to a wall. We consider structural safety, viewing comfort, cable management, and how the finished installation fits into the interior of the home. Many of our strongest projects are installations that other companies consider too difficult.
I personally train our technicians to follow consistent technical and service standards. Our principle is simple: complete every installation as if we were working in our own home. That means protecting the client’s property, communicating clearly, keeping the workspace clean, and taking responsibility for the final result.
I am most proud that TVPro has completed more than 10,000 installations and earned over 1,600 five-star Google reviews. Our larger goal is to develop skilled professionals, create jobs, and raise service and safety standards in an important but often overlooked industry across the United States.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
Some of my favorite childhood memories are from the soccer field—standing in goal, covered in dust, knowing that one save could change the entire game. Looking back, that was where I first learned to stay calm under pressure and never step away from a challenge.
