Today we’d like to introduce you to Jojo Trumbly.
Hi Jojo, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My career has never followed a straight line, and I’ve learned that’s actually one of my greatest strengths.
My background includes acting and directing, marketing, teaching, HVAC, and eventually business networking. Each era taught me something about people, leadership, and relationships.
In 2020, I saw an opportunity to create the kind of networking organization I wished existed, and that idea became The NET Level Up Networking.
What started as notes in a notebook has now grown into multiple teams and hundreds of business owners across the Greater Houston area.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not. Building something from the ground up means there is no roadmap, and I’ve had to learn a lot through trial and error. Some of the biggest challenges have been learning how to lead different personalities, making hard decisions even when they aren’t popular, and growing an organization without losing what made it special in the first place. There have been plenty of mistakes along the way, but every one of them has helped shape The NET into what it is today.
We’ve been impressed with The NET Level Up Networking, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The NET Level Up Networking is a relationship-first business networking organization built around three pillars: Building. Growing. Serving.
We create teams of local business owners and professionals who meet consistently, build real relationships, refer business, support one another, and give back to their communities. What sets us apart is that we are not interested in transactional networking or simply collecting business cards. We want our members to actually know, trust, and advocate for each other.
I’m most proud of the culture we’ve built. The NET is growing quickly, but we are intentional about keeping the relationships, accountability, and sense of community at the center of everything we do.
Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
I think the biggest thing I’d want people to know is that you don’t have to build a business alone. The right relationships can change everything. The NET was created to give business owners a place to be known, supported, challenged, and connected. If we can help people grow their businesses while also creating genuine friendships and stronger communities, then we’re doing exactly what we set out to do.
